The new variant will flaunt a 5-inch TFT instrument console
TVS is all set to launch a new variant of its sporty 125cc bike – the Raider today. The bike will finally come with a 5-inch TFT display which was promised at the time of launch last year.
The new TVS Raider could also come with the SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity system along with features like turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and call/SMS alerts. Of course, it will retain the riding modes which is the first in this segment.
The Raider marked TVS’ return to the 125cc segment, and it turned out to be a great sporty offering thanks to its enthusiastic engine and nimble handling. In fact, this bike can make even some 150cc motorcycles sweat.

While the new variant will flaunt more features, the powertrain and the underpinnings are expected to remain unchanged from the current model. So, expect the same 124.8cc producing 11.38PS and 11.2Nm on this variant too.
Currently, TVS demands Rs 93,489 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the disc brake variant of the Raider. We expect the upcoming bike t cost around Rs 4,000 more than this. While it rivals the likes of the Hero Glamour, Honda SP125 and Bajaj Pulsar NS125, the only bike with bluetooth connectivity in this segment is the Glamour Xtec.
