Proudly awarded as the Bike of the Year 2015, the stylish 110cc commuter from TVS - Star City+ has recently completed its first year anniversary. On the occasion, the Hosur-based manufacturer launched a special Gold edition of the bike that symbolizes the magnificent one year completion of the best selling commuter motorcycle from the company.
TVS Star City+ Special Gold Edition comes with some heavy cosmetic changes in the form of a white coloured body along with golden graphics stickered end to end. The alloy wheels too get a golden treatment and the front visor receives a golden 3D “Bike of the Year” logo to flaunt the bike’s popularity and success. Besides this, the side body panels are now beige coloured that looks premium. The seating in this one comes dual textured along with red stitching to add a more appealing touch with the black coloured rear shock absorbers.
Besides the cosmetic updates, the special Gold Edition also receives a USB mobile charging port placed under the seat and grippy tubeless tyres. At the event, Mr. K N Radhakrishnan, President and CEO, TVS Motor company stated, “We are confident that this Special Gold Edition TVS StaR City+ will also be a huge success with our customers.”
The 2015 Special Gold Edition Star City+ receives its revs from the same 109.7cc, four-stroke, air-cooled engine that empowers the existing version. The EcoThrust four-speed mill churns out a net power of 8.3bhp at 7,000rpm along with a maximum torque of 8.7Nm at 5,000rpm and ensures the best-in-class mileage of 86kmpl, as claimed by the company.
The bike has been launched at a price of Rs. 48,934 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs. 2000 more than the standard model.

I chose the bike because it was pocket friendly for me and full filled the criteria that i was looking for further the service stations were easily accessible for me. For the road conditions that i usually ride on its lightweight and smooth handling provided me a comfort which was better then other bikes of the segment. The ride was very good and comforting. I have been to a long ride around 200 kilometres away from my home to Sonmarg where for a long time the road was smooth but after I crossed Srinagar the road became bumpy but thanks to my bike the back pain came no where near which I had earlier experienced on my hero honda cbz. Yes absolutely. This bike is very good easily manageable in tragic which I usually ride in and if the road gets a bit off road it can carry you to your destination easily and safely.
