The specifications of the TVS Jupiter BS6 range have been revealed. It is powered by a 109.7cc fuel-injected BS6-compliant motor, which churns out 7.4PS at 7000rpm and 8.4Nm at 5500rpm. Compared to the BS4-compliant Jupiter, it makes 0.51PS less but the peak power arrives at 500rpm earlier down the rev range. Interestingly, the peak torque has remained unchanged. TVS claims the fuel-injected motor offers 15 per cent more mileage than the carburetted version.
The TVS Jupiter BS6 range starts from Rs 61,449 (ex-showroom Delhi), Rs 6,100 dearer than the base version of the BS4 Jupiter. More details about the pricing here.
Thanks to the addition of fuel injection and emission-controlling equipment, the scooter weighs 1kg more, at 109kg, kerb. The ground clearance has remained unchanged at 150mm and so has the wheelbase, at 1275mm. Interestingly, the overall width has gone up from 650mm to 678mm and the overall height from 1115mm to 1286mm. This is likely more to do with the rearview mirrors than the actual dimensions of the scooter itself.
The BS6-compliant Jupiter comes with an LED headlamp and tail lamp as standard and an optional apron-mounted mobile charging port. For better utility, the scooter also features a 2-litre front storage compartment. The underseat storage has gone up from 17 litres to 21 litres. TVS has achieved this by moving the battery from the underseat storage area to the apron. The fuel tank capacity has been increased from 5 litres to 6 litres too.
TVS seems to have stopped offering an optional front disc in the BS6 range. All the BS6-compliant Jupiter variants feature a 130mm front and rear drum brake with combined braking system. Suspension bits include a telescopic front fork and a 3-step adjustable single shock absorber at the rear.
The TVS Jupiter BS6 goes up against the Honda Activa 6G and the Hero Maestro Edge in the 110cc segment.

If you buy jupiter so buy its base variant. Jupiters's mileage was also good. I also ride on eco speed 30-40 KmH for best mileage. No other problems on this scooter.
