India is one of the largest scooter markets in the world. This year we have had some interesting launches but with the new models, we witnessed massive price hikes as well. So, if you are on a lookout for an used scooter with a budget of about Rs 60,000, here are some trusty options:
Honda Activa
Model Year: 2017-2019
Approx Mileage: 20,000 to 25,000km
Honda’s breadwinner has been steadily topping sales charts even now. Given the popularity of the Honda Activa, you’ll find plenty of options in the used two-wheeler market, ranging from prices as low as Rs 10,000. However, for Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 you’ll find plenty of Activa 4G and Activa 5G models, and with a seat height of 765mm it is pretty accessible for riders of all heights. Given Honda’s reliability and the vast service network, you cannot go wrong with this one.

The Honda Dio has been every youngster’s go-to scooter for over a decade thanks to its styling and low seat height of 765mm. If you too are smitten by its youthful design, you’ll find scores of options in the market. Just like with the Activa, there are plenty of cheap options available, however, given that the users are mostly youngsters, we’d suggest sticking to the newer and slightly lesser run models. A decently run, five-year old Honda Dio could be priced around Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000.

This is the underdog of the scooter market. Though it looks far from a sporty scooter, it is the quickest scooter we have tested in the segment. Given that the Suzuki Access 125 has been in the market for a while, there are plenty of options available, with a 2017 or 2018 model costing anywhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000.

The TVS Jupiter has become increasingly popular, selling over 57,000 units in March 2021. - My review of Activa.Wanted eco friendly two wheeler for a beginner for city uses. Also the ride is very comfortable, little good for any household uses also low maintenance cost with high fuel efficiency. Overall good for medium users.
