This time with a new engine, better looks and maybe a more affordable price tag!

Hero Passion XPro, the brand’s slightly sporty commuter has been seen on a shoot, something that’s likely to be a TV commercial. What’s instantly visible is slightly revised bodywork. The headlight cowl and windscreen, both are more in line with the older Passion XPro and what seem to be slightly sharper tank extensions. Accompanying these bits is a new grey and blue colour scheme that honestly looks quite nice. The Passion Pro is a good looking motorcycle and this colour really adds an extra touch of sportiness.

But the biggest change is with what seems to be an all-new engine as it seems to be quite different when compared to the one on the current Passion Pro. For starters, the engine head is more inclined towards the front compared to the one seen on the current model. Even the engine casing is completely different, further cementing the fact that this is an all-new unit. Look closer, and you can also see the fuel tap, something that we are used to seeing on a carbureted motorcycle. This shows that the engine would sport an electronic carburetor.

Given that the engine will obviously be an OBD 2-compliant unit, it’d be one of the first OBD 2-compliant bike without fuel injection in India. The engine capacity, though, is likely to remain the same as the 113cc one on the Passion Pro.

Now that the bike’s been seen shooting, it could very well be launched in the coming months. With cost saving measures such as a carburetor, Hero could be aiming to price the Passion XPro a lot more competitively than the current Passion Pro, the prices of which start from Rs 74,678 (Ex-showroom Delhi). Hero could hence very well aim for a Rs 72,000 price tag.
