We list down the BS6 Access 125’s strengths and weaknesses to help you make an informed decision

The Suzuki Access, like most 125cc scooters, stepped into the BS6 league quite recently. While it offers very little in terms of features, it gets an updated motor, a full-LED headlight and Suzuki’s easy start system. We spent a fair amount of time on the saddle and came back with a couple of positives and negatives that could help you make an informed decision if you intend to buy one.

    Pros

    Retains Its Performance:

Most two-wheelers lose out on some performance while transitioning from BS4 to BS6 norms, but not the Access. In fact, the scooter makes just as much power as before from its 124cc engine. It generates the same 8.7PS but has lost a bit of torque -- 0.2Nm to be precise. Fortunately, the difference is too small to make any noticeable difference in real-world conditions.

One of the most refined scooters in India.

The Access 125’s motor was butter smooth as is, but the addition of fuel injection makes it run smoother than before and it now responds almost instantaneously to the smallest of throttle inputs.

    Superb ride quality:

It's safe to say the Suzuki Access 125's suspension setup is one of the best in the market. It offers the perfect balance and gobbles up potholes and huge speed breakers with ease.

    Cons

External Fuel-filler Cap Isn’t Exactly Convenient:

Well, as the caption suggests, the external fuel-filler cap isn’t exactly practical. In essence, you’re required to get off the scooter and physically open the cover with a key. Most modern scooters nowadays have the facility to remotely open the lid.

    Brakes Could Have Been Better:

The Access 125’s braking setup, though better than the previous-gen model, still lacks bite compared to other front disc brake-equipped scooters.

    Design Feels Dated:

The Access 125 hasn’t seen much of a change in terms of design ever since its introduction back in 2007, and it shows. A complete makeover to help the scooter look like the Suzuki Saluto 125cc recently unveiled in Taiwan would surely do the trick.

    Should You Buy One?

Offering a truck-load of features isn't the Suzuki way. In fact, its selling point has to be the Access 125's potent engine. The power and refinement of the motor, paired with its ease of use, put other scooters to shame, thus setting a new benchmark in the 125cc family scooter segment.

Sooter for your family that makes your life easier
      - The scooty is going to save you a lot of money in servicing as maintenance is easy. - Ride is comfortable, even if you are a heavy person like me. - Mileage I get from this scooty is around 40 to 45 Kmpl. - Storage space is quite sufficient for 1 helmet under the seat. Also you have storage in the front, that you can use for regular shopping. - The pillion seat is quite low so, mounting on the bike won't be an issue for the elderly people. Like my father.

      Smooth, Reliable and feature-Pacled scooter
The Suzuki Access 125 ride connect is very smooth and reliable scooter. The pickup is good and the engine feels refined while riding in the city. The bluetooth feature is very useful because it connects with the Suzuki ride connect app and shows navigation on the speedometer. The seat is comfortable and the mileage is also good around 45-50km/l. The breaking with front disc and CBS is safe and responsive. Overall it is a stylish, comfortable and low-maintenance scooter, perfect for daily use.

      Suzuki access 125
Overall good. Everyone knows suzuki access is a good scooty. With regards to mileage, pick up and safety evrything is great. Looks stylish and seat capacity is also huge can easily accommodate 2 people. Headlight is amazing too in the darker roads upper and lower lights both work very well and have the capacity of capturing larger areas in dark atleast better as compared to other brands.

Suzuki Access 125 Review, 2 year experience
Initially the stock battery was very worst, it used to dry very often. And sometimes there is a vibration when I start the vehicle and run on low rpm, even the showroom didn't rectify it. Maintence is subjective to users, if we dont service often, it will show side effects like vibration, sound, pickup issues etc. Speed, Mileage, Comfort all are fine
