The Royal Enfield Himalayan is in great demand, courtesy of its affordable pricing and off-road abilities. And that’s precisely why the 4-month-long waiting period for it. However, it’s not the same everywhere, and this table below tells you how long you’ll have to wait in your city:
As you can see, the waiting period does vary based on geography, but in general, it is quite high, and this is owing to the semiconductor shortage. A new variant of the Himalayan under development, the RE Scram and it was recently spotted testing. The affordable version of the Himalayan will feature a twin-pod instrument cluster, a single-piece seat, and the same 411cc single-cylinder counterbalanced air-cooled engine. The Scram will likely be launched by late January or early next month.

In related news from the bike maker, Royal Enfield a few weeks ago recalled nearly 26,300 units of the new Classic 350 over a faulty brake reaction bracket that was attached to the swingarm. Only the motorcycles manufactured between September 1 and December 5 supposedly have this hitch.
