The most popular retro bike in India is about to get updated very soon. According to a report published online, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is set to receive feature updates in the first half of August 2024.
The feature update in question are LED headlights. Currently, the Classic 350 gets halogen headlights and is available in single-channel as well as dual-channel ABS variants. The single-channel ABS variant gets spoke wheels, while the dual-channel ABS variant is available with both spoke and alloy wheels. The dual-channel ABS models with alloy wheels are expected to get the LED headlight update. With quite a few new retro roadsters having entered the market in the last one year from the likes of Harley-Davidson, Hero MotoCorp and Triumph and older rivals from Jawa and Honda having received updates and price revisions, the feature update should help the Royal Enfield Classic 350 compete in this hot segment better.
The rest of the bike will likely remain unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the 350cc, single-cylinder engine producing 20.2PS and 27Nm. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork with fork covers and twin shock absorbers. The braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends in the dual-channel ABS variant, while the single-channel ABS variant gets a rear drum brake instead of the disc brake. In terms of features, it gets a semi-digital instrument console with a digital inset.
The updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 is expected to be launched within the first two weeks of August 2024. The alloy-wheel models are priced at Rs 2,20,991 (ex-showroom) and the updated models are expected to get a Rs 5,000 premium over that price tag. Its rivals are the Jawa 350 and the Honda CB350 H’ness.
