Lakshman Raj is a 36 year old entrepreneur based out of Bengaluru - with a life long passion for all things two-wheeled. His motorcycling journey began in his youth on a 2-stroke 125cc bike. After many years of owning a variety of motorcycles, Lakshman's weapon of choice these days is the KTM 250 Adventure. To Lakshman, his 250 Adventure is anything but an ordinary machine.
A Dream Come True: Owning a KTM
For Lakshman, a KTM was something he had always dreamed of owning. "My passion for orange juice led me to buy a KTM," he says funnily, recalling the iconic KTM orange that had drawn him in. It had been years since he had ridden a motorbike, but the 250 Adventure was his comeback ride. "It has been super cool," Lakshman tells us, sounding absolutely delighted with his new motorcycle. The Adventure has turned out to be his everyday bike, and he could not be more pleased about it.
The Pleasure of Riding Daily
Lakshman likes to ride daily, from short commutes to long highway rides. "I ride almost 50 to 80km daily, and I love my ride every day," he says, highlighting how eagerly he waits for each ride. From cruising through the corners to feeling the excitement of the open road, every aspect of riding is a pleasure for Lakshman. "I also travel long distances and enjoy riding on curves on the highway," he informs us, sharing with us how much he enjoys the excitement of the open road.

Lakshman has also done the KTM Adventure Academy Pro-XP Bronze Level, which was an enriching experience for him. "It was fascinating and I learned a lot from it," he states, relishing the ground level information that he learned at the event. The training assisted him in developing his riding technique and comprehending his motorcycle better. "It definitely made me a better rider,"Lakshman informs us, highlighting the must-haves of being such a key confidence booster and builder of riding skills.
His Ownership Experience
For Lakshman, the KTM 250 Adventure is a realization of his years-long fantasy. "It has been a dream for me to own an orange horse and drive till I can not go any more," he states. Update the KTM to measure because I wanted a lightweight that could handle both city rights, and we traps it offers good performance, comfortable economics and features for the price without feeling to intimidating. The bike is fun to ride and handle really well especially on twisted road the, suspension is decent but I wish the low and top was very strong in the city traffic or its been a satisfying experience well. Yes, it depends on your age. Its a great option for beginner and touring enthusiast. Smooth on highways, stylish and its a cool thing to have on trails. It was a really smooth experience with the bike, it gives very good mileage and good for rugged planes and is easy to ride in the dense forest areas. The rides are very smooth and is really nice. I can't describe the amount of fun me and my friends had with the bike. We did a all india trip and still the bike was really smooth and not much to maintain, so it's reliable. I would highly recommend buying this bike, I gives very good mileage and is a very good for a trail biking enthusiasts to start with. Go et it and enjoy the smooth ride with the trail bike. I test rode the bike and just fell in love with it and that's why I decided to just buy without any hesitation. People underestimate this bike a lot as people know that its older sibling is a better purchase but that's only when you have ample amount of money to spend. The ride has been great so far. Mileage isnt a problem. In city you can expect around 25-28kmpl and on highways you can easily expect around 30-32kmpl. Comfort is a small problem. The seat is very stiff, feels like you're sitting on a wooden plank but you can always opt for an aftermarket seat according to your comfort and specifications. The power is great. Even though it is a bit heavier than its cousin - the Duke 250, the way this bike puts down the power is amazing. The stability on higher speeds is amazing too. Being a 250cc engine, people might think its slow or less torque-y but then it easily cruises at 100-120kmph on highways. If you're looking for an adventure bike under 300cc then this a very great option. Yes you have the Xpulse 210 and the VStrom 250 but then both of those bikes are nothing compared to this machine. The Xpulse 210, we all know, has so many problems post purchase and the service Hero provides is just very bad. The V Strom 250 is just a Gixxer so with different styling so I am not really going to add anything on that. People who are 5ft and above can easily ride the 250 Adventure as it offers great stability. Well yes you should always buy something that fits you and you should always test ride as many products as you can. Wanted to pursue touring and I needed a motorcycle with good mileage, spare parts availability around the country. Decent suspension, reliable engine. Also wanted to learn some off-roading going on trails. The bike feeds slow in the initial until you push up to 6000 RPM, had been to Ladakh did well over 18,000 feet.
