Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) has brought an all new concept to the Indian two-wheeler market with the launch of NAVi, a crossover between scooter and motorcycle. This two-wheeler was launched on the first day of 2016 Auto Expo and was priced at just Rs. 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). We were the first ones to report that the bookings of NAVi have begun and more than 50 bookings were done within 12 hours of its launch. The bookings are now open through Honda NAVi’s android app and the deliveries of this moto-scooter are expected to start this April.

Being the first 100% Honda R&D India model, NAVi houses the same 109.19cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine with Honda Eco Technology (HET) that is available in Activa. Mated to a V-matic (automatic) gearbox, the mill generates 7.83bhp of peak power at 7,000rpm enabling a top speed of 81kmph. The scooter is available in three variants viz. Street, Adventure and Off-road. This moto-scooter will be retailed with following colour options - Patriot Red, Shasta White, Hooper Green, Sparky Orange and Black.

Speaking about the reason behind bringing NAVi to the country, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president – sales & marketing, HMSI, said, “With India having the world’s youngest population, it is imperative for Brand Honda to connect with the youth. NAVI will take forward Honda’s Fun DNA in India. From business point of view, almost 70% of two-wheelers sold in the country today have engine displacement upto 110cc. However most of the models here, irrespective of their segment - Motorcycle or Scooter - are look alike without much differentiation in specs or features. Considering the potential & moving away from the Syndrome of Sameness, Honda R&D India challenged to create “New additional Value for India” – NAVI.”

Outstanding

We are using this since 2018 and this is an outstanding scooter with a very good mileage with low maintenance cost and daily life use. And the speed of the scooter is nearly touch 80 so it is as a good thing. Overall i will give 10 out of 10 for mileage and maintenance cost. And for looks i will give 5 out of 10 i'm not satisfied with looks of the scooter.Read More

It was an excellent pick

It was an excellent pick for the middle class and students. It had this elegant look of a bike and feel of a scooty. I wish they roll out again in future.
