While we wait for the Honda CB 350 Scrambler to debut in India, check out the CB190SS in the interim

Round headlights with curvy body lines aren’t a thing of the past and the Honda CB190SS scrambler proves that well. How? Well, sit back and let us explain via detailed images.

On the design front, the CB190SS looks quite subdued. It gets a round headlight and smooth flowing body panels. The red coloured fuel tank with a white stripe complements the major bodywork covered in black.

The stainless steel exhaust and brushed outer ring on the headlight also contribute to the aesthetic of the Honda CB190SS. However, a silver or golden finish on the front fork would’ve been better.

The CB190SS shares its powertrain with the CBF190R. It’s an air-cooled 184cc single-cylinder motor, mated to a 5-speed transmission. It’s likely to make 16.8PS and 16.3Nm. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? That’s because the Honda Hornet 2.0 uses the same motor.

Underpinnings on the Honda CB190SS scrambler are also very moderate. The bike is sprung on a USD fork and monoshock setup, while the braking department is handled by a single disc at both the ends with single-channel ABS as standard.

Feature-wise, Honda has equipped the scrambler with LEDs for the headlight, turn indicators, and the brake light. It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster that displays speed, time, gear position indicator, rpm, and fuel level. Last but not least, the CB190SS gets a USB charging port too.

The rider triangle doesn’t seem very aggressive as the footpegs are a bit rear-set and the handlebar is placed slightly towards the rider.

Honda has priced the CB190SS at 16,980 CNY (approximately Rs 1.91 lakh) in China. Honda has no plans to bring this bike to India but it has teased a new motorcycle based on the H’Ness CB350.
