TVS Ronin 2026 Variants Explained
We help you pick the right variant of the Ronin
The TVS Ronin is one of those bikes that doesn't sit neatly in one category. It's not quite a cruiser, not quite a scrambler, and not really a roadster either. That mixed identity comes together in a decently built motorcycle.
TVS sells the Ronin in three trims, Base, Mid and Top. The engine stays the same across the range, so the changes come down to additional features and styling. The price starts at Rs 1,26,690 and goes up to Rs 1,62,640 (all ex-showroom Delhi) as you move up to the top trim. There's also an Agonda Edition, built on the Base variant; we’ll compare the three main trims:

The base model sticks to single-channel ABS that's one of the significant features that it misses out on. That said, the non-adjustable brake and clutch levers on the Base and Mid aren't a dealbreaker. The top variant’s adjustable levers will make them easier to reach for someone with smaller hands.
When it comes to the convenience features, the Base or Mid lacks the connectivity, so no call or message alerts on the move. While it’s not an essential, it makes life that much more convenient.
On styling, the base variant gets a black fork rather than a gold-coloured one, and it also gets a monotone decal. The cosmetic upgrades are exclusive to the mid and top trims. We’ve covered the paint schemes with each colour’s prices in detail. There's also an Agonda Edition, built on the Base variant but with a simpler paint job and a nicer seat cover, for riders who find the Mid and Top a bit too flashy.
What Stays The Same
Now talking about the similarities, the 225.9cc engine is shared across all three variants. It makes 20.4PS at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm at 3,750rpm, so power delivery won't change no matter which one you pick. It's paired with a 5-speed gearbox, fuel injection, and an assist and slipper clutch in every trim. Since the engine is identical across the range, the mileage should hold too. In our road test, the Ronin returned 42.95kmpl in the city and 40.77kmpl on the highway.
Suspension is identical too: a 41mm upside-down fork up front and a monoshock at the rear with 7-step preload adjustment. Tyre sizes, the 9-spoke alloy wheels, and the 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes don't change either. Even the two ABS riding modes, Rain and Urban, are the same on all three.
Dimensions are nearly identical as well. The only difference on paper is that the Top variant weighs a kilo more than the other two, which won't really be noticeable while riding. At 795mm, the seat height stays welcoming for most riders, and the riding posture, upright with wide bars, feels equally relaxed whether you're on the Base or the Top. Lighting is common too; LED headlight, tail light, and turn indicators feature on every variant, and build quality feels consistent across the range, with tight panel gaps and clean paintwork regardless of which trim you pick.
Which One To Buy
If you just want a Ronin and don't care much about extra safety hardware, the Base does the job at a lower price. But the jump to dual-channel ABS on the Mid is worth the extra money for most riders, since it adds a real safety margin without asking for a big price difference.
The Top variant makes sense if you want the connected dash and adjustable levers along with the dual-channel ABS. It costs more than the Mid, but you're getting features that matter every day, not just cosmetic changes. For most buyers, though, the Mid variant offers the better balance between price and equipment.

Looks comfortable for daily commute of 140- 150 km. TVS Ronin offers 225 cc engine with good mileage of 40 kmpl, stunning looks which makes the heads turn, royal and comfy feel without compromising on city ride quality and oil cooling for better engine efficiency. Ride is smooth, punchy, confident and feels agile, makes you confident while riding but struggles in corners because of TVS tyres which lacks grip, comfort and art of cornering. The whole setup looks balanced for the price hence can't complain for that. Yes, I would recommend this bike if you are a person who can spend more on cost of ownership, the service center work is little bad, if you can tackle them thats on you because I have been doing the same, just to put your point, you have to complain otherwise they do not take you seriously specially the centers in small cities like Dewas, MP.
