Top 5 Electric Scooters With Cruise Control In India

You can even get this feature on an e-scooter that costs similar to the Honda Activa

Cruise control is no longer limited to cars and big bikes. This feature is slowly making its way into electric scooters as well – offering more relaxed riding on long, open stretches. Here are our top 5 picks:

Ather 450X & Apex

Rs 1,46,999 to Rs 1,89,999 (ex-showroom)

The 450X just recently got cruise control via an OTA (Over-The-Air) update. The feature was first introduced on the Ather 450 Apex at the brand’s community day event last year in 2025. The Ather 450X has a dedicated switch on the right side to toggle cruise. It works from as low as 10kmph, and does not disengage when you brake or accelerate – it stays at the speed it was last left at.

Simple Gen 2 Scooters

Rs 1,39,999 to Rs 1,77,999 (ex-showroom)

Simple Energy recently launched their Gen 2 electric scooters: the Simple One and OneS. The Simple OneS is the more affordable of the two, but even it comes with cruise control as standard. It works very similar to the way it does on the Ather scooters.

TVS Orbiter

Rs 1,04,900 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Orbiter is the brand’s entry level electric scooter offering that’s aimed at being practical over everything else. This TVS Scooter comes equipped with cruise control as standard, and is for riders who have longer daily commutes wanting a smoother, less tiring experience – it works between 25-60kmph.

Vida V2 Pro

Rs 1,40,000 (ex-showroom)

The Vida V2 is one of the more practical electric scooters to offer cruise control (on the higher-spec Pro variant). This Vida scooter gets a nicely-shaped 26-litre underseat boot and removable batteries that can be charged at home. Other notable features include all-LED lights, a 7-inch touchscreen TFT, keyless entry, ride modes, and regenerative braking.

Ola S1 Range

Rs 84,999 to Rs 1,54,999 (ex-showroom)

Almost the entire Ola S1 scooter lineup offers cruise control as standard. This includes the Ola S1 X, Ola S1 X+, Ola S1 Pro, Ola S1 Pro+, and Ola S1 Pro Sport (deliveries yet to start). This makes Ola Electric one of the few brands offering this feature across a wide price range, from budget-focused models to high-performance variants.

Regen Mode Off in OTA UPDATE

I bought this scooter in July as a gamble. Because on paper it is better than 450x. And its worth every penny. There is a single small issue. Simple Energy, please add option to switch regen off in OTA update. Its permanent on mode make the scooter very jerky between 10-20 kmph. It also puts strain on the motor as the braking system and motor are acting opposite to each other in traffic.Read More
