The iconic Bajaj Pulsar 150 gets a makeover after more than two decades

Updated Bajaj Pulsar 150 Launch Soon: Bike Reaches Dealerships

[UPDATE: The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been launched in India.]

    Quick Highlights:

    • An all-new front-end design

    • Gets a full-LED lighting setup

    • Remains mechanically unchanged with the same engine and frame

The updated Bajaj Pulsar 150 has started arriving at dealerships, indicating that its official launch is just around the corner. Recently the updated Bajaj Pulsar 220 was also spotted at dealerships, hinting that the brand could launch the updated Pulsar lineup at India Bike Week 2025 (IBW 2025), on December 19 and 20.

    What’s New

    Updated Bajaj Pulsar 150

With this update, Bajaj has introduced a visual refresh to one of India’s most iconic motorcycles. The brand has finally moved away from the classic Pulsar front-end design that had remained largely unchanged for more than two decades, giving the Pulsar 150 an all-new, sharper, and more modern appearance.

    Updated Bajaj Pulsar 150

The updated Bajaj Pulsar 150 now features a redesigned fascia along with a full LED lighting setup, including an LED headlamp, LED tail-lamp and LED turn indicators, similar to those seen on Bajaj’s more premium Pulsar models. These upgrades not only enhance visibility but also make the bike look a lot more premium than before. Apart from the lighting updates, the bike has received refreshed graphics and paint schemes as well, along with colour coded rim stickers. Apart from the front-end, the Pulsar 150 retains the muscular fuel tank design, along with the familiar Pulsar silhouette.

    What’s Unchanged

The Pulsar 150 is expected to remain the same mechanically. It should have the same 149.5cc air-cooled engine, producing around 14PS, 13Nm, with a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle will have the same frame, conventional telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers, ensuring that its proven balance of comfort, and handling remain unchanged.

The bike in the photo also seems to have the same 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with what looks like  a 90-section front and a 110-section rear tyre. The braking setup could also be carried forward: a 280mm front and a 230mm rear disc brake. The Pulsar 150 was updated last year with an LCD console, which should be carried forward as is.

    Updated Bajaj Pulsar 150

The classic Pulsar series has been one of Bajaj’s best-selling and most successful product lines. The design has remained almost unchanged for over 2 decades. While this wasn’t really a concern as fans loved the familiarity, what Bajaj seems to be doing with the updated model is essentially injecting a dose of freshness to the Pulsar. Whether that appeals to the modern Pulsar enthusiasts remains to be seen.

Currently the Pulsar 150 is listed at Rs 1,05,144 (ex-showroom Delhi), and this new update is expected to cost Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 higher.

In a related development, Bajaj Auto is reported to launch the next-generation of the Pulsar Classic series in 2026.

      bike is powerful
Common disadvantages of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 include vibrations, a lack of a sixth gear, weak suspension, older design, potential for poor quality parts/service, and less stability in sudden braking at high speeds, while some users note issues with back pain due to seating and headlight design not meeting modern expectations, though it offers good city performance and mileage for its price.

Bajar Pulsar 150 review after 700 km ride
It's a 150 cc bike which is perfect for me and father. It comes with the safety features like abs as well. Good mileage and due to twin spark engine the power is good. The bike goes 45 kilometre litre. Positive. The bike gives smooth acceleration and give better performance in lower to middle range.Top range performance is average. The bike has malfunction in high speed. Suspension is powerful and work well. Yes I would recommend this bike for students who want power but budget is the issue. This bike comes with a 2 valve twin spark engine. Students and their fathers can also use this. This is a family friendly bike with minimal looks and low budget with modern safety features. And the height is lower. So people with small height can go for this. Also females can be comfortably seated due to lower seat height.
