Updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F Launch At IBW 2025? Bike Reaches Dealerships

[UPDATE: The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F has been launched in India]

    Quick Highlights:

    • Gets updated graphics

    • Remains mechanically unchanged

    • Likely to be launched at IBW 2025

The updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F has started arriving at dealerships, hinting at an imminent official launch. Interestingly, Bajaj is present at IBW 2025, so expect the brand to launch this update at the event, which will take place in December 19-20. At first glance, the bike looks largely unchanged. However, Bajaj has given it a few minor, yet meaningful updates.

    2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: What’s New

Updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F Launch At IBW 2025

The updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F now gets new graphics, along with redesigned carbon-fibre-themed highlights on the side panels and fairing. Bajaj has also added colour-coded rim stripes, which enhance the bike’s overall sporty stance.

Updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F Launch At IBW 2025

Since its launch, the Pulsar 220F had been using bulky halogen indicators. However, now Bajaj has finally replaced these with sleeker LED indicators, similar to those seen on its more premium offerings. Along with all these updates, the Pulsar 220F is also rumoured to get dual channel ABS for the first time, but there seems to be no indication of the same on the bike as such.

    What’s Unchanged

Bajaj has retained the design of the Pulsar 220F for this update. It continues with the same, old-school muscular styling along with the sporty semi-fairing, which gives the 220F its distinctive identity. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged as well. It is powered by the same 220cc single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine that produces 20.5PS and 18.55Nm.

The Pulsar 220F continues to use the same steel tube frame, paired with conventional telescopic forks and twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability. The disc sizes: 280mm front and 230mm rear also remain the same. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, shod with a 90-section front tyre and a wider 120-section rear. It also retains the same LCD instrument console, which supports smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and SMS/call alerts.

Updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F Launch At IBW 2025

Currently, the Pulsar 220F is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With all these updates, the price is expected to increase by around Rs 1,500 if it’s just the graphics and the LED indicators. If Bajaj ends up adding a dual-channel ABS, then expect the premium to go further up by around Rs 2,000.  The brand tried to replace it with the Bajaj Pulsar F250, but quickly realised that the fans love the iconic 220F, so it reintroduced the bike shortly after it was discontinued. Even with the latest changes, it’s evident that Bajaj wants to do quality-of-life updates rather than make heavy changes to the fan-favourite bike.

In a related development, the updated Bajaj Pulsar 150 has also started arriving at dealerships ahead of the official launch. Bajaj Auto also recently launched another variant of the Pulsar N160, here is what it offers and how much it costs.

      Power on a Budget
At the heart of the 220F is its 220cc oil-cooled engine, delivering approximately 20.4 PS and 18.55 Nm of torque. Owners consistently praise its mid-range grunt, which makes highway cruising effortless. While it lacks the high-tech refinement of newer liquid-cooled rivals, its linear power delivery is predictable and satisfying for both beginners and experienced tourers.
