But contrary to reports online, it doesn’t get dual-channel ABS

Quick News Highlights
-
Gets new colours with updated graphic schemes
-
Now comes equipped with LED indicators as standard
-
Costs Rs 1,103 more when compared to previous model’s ex-showroom price
Bajaj has launched the updated Pulsar 220F in India. The bike was spotted at Bajaj dealerships recently, with a bunch of small upgrades over the previous model. The new Bajaj Pulsar 220F costs Rs 1,28,490 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 1,103 more than the previous model. Here’s an overview:
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is now available in four fresh colour schemes: Black Cherry Red, Black Ink Blue, Black Copper Beige, and Green Light Copper. All of these new colour schemes get new graphics that look really clean and sporty. That said, the bike continues with the blacked-out theme in all the colour options.

The previous-gen bike had carbonfibre-themed stickers only on the front fender. On the other hand, the latest-gen Pulsar 220F adds this to the headlight cowl as well as on the side panels. The bike now also gets matching rim stickers that complete its overall look.
The Pulsar 220F’s bulky halogen indicators stuck out like a sore thumb. We’re glad that they’ve now been replaced with sleek LED units.

There were several reports of the bike getting dual-channel ABS. However, we’ve confirmed with the brand, and it continues with the single-channel ABS. Even the official website has mentioned the same.
Apart from these updates, the bike has remained unchanged with the same 220cc, single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine, and the same underpinnings. The engine produces 20.9PS and 18.55Nm.
BikeDekho Says:
Despite the bike being close to 2 decades old, Bajaj seems keen on keeping the bike more or less intact, with just a few superficial changes. While we’re happy to see those sleek-looking indicators, we’d have liked it if Bajaj had equipped the bike with a dual-channel ABS, at least as a variant. That said, the price hike of Rs 1,103 is fair for the kind of mild updates it got. - Power on a BudgetAt the heart of the 220F is its 220cc oil-cooled engine, delivering approximately 20.4 PS and 18.55 Nm of torque. Owners consistently praise its mid-range grunt, which makes highway cruising effortless. While it lacks the high-tech refinement of newer liquid-cooled rivals, its linear power delivery is predictable and satisfying for both beginners and experienced tourers.Read More6 4
