Shortly after we broke the unveiling of the Dio 125 X-Edition, Honda has now launched it at Rs 87,733 (ex-showroom) – making its Rs 1,000 more expensive than the standard variant it's based on. It’s a new special version of its sporty 125cc scooter that stands out with its dual-tone paint scheme.
What’s New?
The apron and side panels of this Honda Dio 125 get contrasting dark blue and silver colours, along with sharp graphics. Another key highlight is the bright orange alloy wheels, which add a strong visual contrast, making it look more sportier. Apart from this, the design remains the same as the standard Dio 125. We’re not really complaining as the Honda Dio range always looked quite sporty.
What’s Unchanged?
This Honda Dio is powered by a 123.92cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.3PS and 10.5Nm, which’s paired to a CVT (automatic transmission). It gets a telescopic fork and 3-step preload-adjustable shock absorber. It has a 190mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake, with combined braking (CBS). The kerb weight is 105kg (pretty decent), ground clearance 171mm (quite good), and fuel tank 5.3 litres.
Since it’s based on the base standard variant, it gets a TFT console but it does not have Bluetooth connectivity. The lighting is all-LED and it has a USB Type-C charging port on the apron's left side.

While this new colour adds an air of sportiness, we really wish Honda brings back the Repsol Edition of this scooter. In our opinion, that paint scheme looked smashing, and actually had a connection to this Japanese brand’s racing heritage in MotoGP – something that matches up to the Dio’s sporty credentials.

It is smooth to ride we can enjoy while riding it. Choosing a scooter is a matter of trust, and for me, that trust lies with the Honda brand. I ultimately choose the Dio 125 specifically because it had a good engine comparing to other rivals and the maintenance is also cheap . Because it's japanese company it is pretty reliable and can consider for long rides . I am owner of a all generation of the honda dio series this is my 4th honda dio .. so far this is the best dio so far because they have given the honda grazia engine to it by doing some calibrations . I had two choices which was this and tvs ntorq the ntorq Laks in refinement , reliability and good service that' the reason I have moved to a japanese brand and iam very much satisfied comfort is excellent. The seat is wide and supportive, making daily commutes very easy on the back.Both the rider and the pillion get wide, well-padded seats, contributing to excellent overall comfort on longer commutes.i even travel kerala to Chennai on a single day with this with multiple stops ... It's still holds no problem If you are a daily commuter but you want to have a sporty plus reliable scooter go for this and cheap in maintenance too , you don't have to think about the the engine because it's honda and you can trust this scooter. It even has all the features like tft display disk brakes at the front and a good cvt gearbox. The only cons would be the headlights it's completely useless on places other than city.Read More
