Honda has unveiled the Dio 125 X-Edition, a new special edition. It now gets a special dual-tone livery in a combination of dark blue and silver colours. The sides of the apron are covered in a silver shade, while the centre panel on the apron is dark blue.
In our opinion, this colour scheme gives the scooter an aggressive look. Also, the silver and orange graphics enhance the sporty appeal. The alloy wheels of the scooter are painted in an orange shade that contrasts its colour schemes. The wheels remind us of the Repsol Edition of Dio 125, which was launched back in September 2023.
The special edition scooter remains mechanically unchanged with its 123.92cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.30PS at 6,500rpm and 10.5Nm at 5,000rpm. It also gets the same underpinnings – a telescopic fork, and a 3-step preload-adjustable shock absorber.
The Honda Dio 125 X-Edition comes with a 190mm front petal disc, and a 130mm rear drum brake unit. It weighs 105kg (kerb), has a ground clearance of 171mm, and comes with a 5.3-litre fuel tank.
All the features of this special edition are identical to the Honda Dio 125‘s H-Smart variant. The list includes a TFT console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. LED lighting is also standard, along with a USB type-C charging port.
In our opinion, this new scooter looks quite sporty, and for the cosmetic changes it gets, it is expected to cost around Rs 1,500 more than the Dio 125’s H-smart variant, which is priced at Rs 91,683 (ex-showroom, Delhi). For someone looking to buy a sporty 125cc scooter, this could be a good pick, as it is known to be peppy and reliable.

- Genuine review of honda dio 125Choosing a scooter is a matter of trust, and for me, that trust lies with the Honda brand. I ultimately choose the Dio 125 specifically because it had a good engine comparing to other rivals and the maintenance is also cheap . Because it's japanese company it is pretty reliable and can consider for long rides . I am owner of a all generation of the honda dio series this is my 4th honda dio .. so far this is the best dio so far because they have given the honda grazia engine to it by doing some calibrations . I had two choices which was this and tvs ntorq the ntorq Laks in refinement , reliability and good service that' the reason I have moved to a japanese brand and iam very much satisfied comfort is excellent. The seat is wide and supportive, making daily commutes very easy on the back.Both the rider and the pillion get wide, well-padded seats, contributing to excellent overall comfort on longer commutes.i even travel kerala to Chennai on a single day with this with multiple stops ... It's still holds no problem If you are a daily commuter but you want to have a sporty plus reliable scooter go for this and cheap in maintenance too , you don't have to think about the the engine because it's honda and you can trust this scooter. It even has all the features like tft display disk brakes at the front and a good cvt gearbox. The only cons would be the headlights it's completely useless on places other than city.Read More6 6
