Honda has launched the ADV 160 in India at Rs 1,70,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). Bookings for the maxi-scooter have begun at a token amount of  Rs 5,000. It gets an adventure-inspired design and is India’s first E85-compliant scooter.

The scooter will be available across Honda's BigWing and RedWing dealerships, with deliveries expected to start from mid-October 2026. Here’s all you need to know:

Design

The ADV 160 gets an ADV-inspired styling with a muscular and aggressive-looking front end, block-pattern tyres and all-LED lighting. It also features a sleek LED taillight and anupswept exhaust. As a maxi-scooter, it gets a central spine which houses the fuel tank. Overall, the scooter looks premium and rugged.

The scooter is available in four different colours: Matte Dune Brown, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Grey and Athletic Blue Metallic.

Engine

The ADV160 is powered by a 156.93cc, liquid-cooled engine. While we don’t know the exact specs of the India-spec scooter, internationally, it produces 16.3 PS and 14.9 Nm, paired with a CVT gearbox.

Underpinnings

The scooter gets a conventional fork along with twin shock absorbers at the rear. It rides on a 14-inch wheel up front and a 13-inch wheel at the rear, with disc brakes at both ends.

Features

In terms of features, the ADV160 gets a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts. It also comes with switchable traction control and single-channel ABS. The scooter gets 27-litre underseat storage compartment, making it practical for everyday use.

BikeDekho Says

The Honda ADV 160 offers premium features, adventure-inspired design, and is the only petrol-powered scooter in India that is flex-fuel compliant. These aspects make the Honda scooter stand out from its rivals such as the Hero Xoom 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155.

I driven this scooter in Thailand. I wish it would be the same when it comes to India, mostly they reduce the power and might make it slow, but I'm still waiting for it. Its like a bike that's all it matters to me. I might tuned it though and might change alot of parts so it operates max with its power.Read More
