Ather has started rolling out its new Pothole+ feature, which provides predictive pothole alerts to riders on the move. The feature is being introduced via an over-the-air (OTA) update and is available on Gen 2 and newer versions of the Ather 450X, 450 Apex and Ather Rizta Z. Here’s everything you need to know:
How does it work?
The Pothole+ feature uses data collected from Ather’s connected scooter fleet to identify road hazards, including potholes, broken road surfaces and speed breakers. While using the scooter’s inbuilt navigation system, riders will receive alerts about upcoming hazards on the display, giving them more time to slow down.
Riders can also receive audio alerts through the scooter’s speakers, Ather Halo headset or any compatible Bluetooth headset. This means they can stay aware of hazards without constantly looking at the screen.
Ather claims the feature has been under development for several years, with data constantly being collected from its connected scooter network to help improve its accuracy.
Models compatible
The feature will be rolled out to all Gen 2 and newer Ather 450X, Ather 450 Apex and Ather Rizta Z models through an OTA update. However, older Gen 1 models, Ather 450S and Rizta S, are not compatible.

It has clean finishing good looking, thin having, good mileage, having better features than any other petrol scooter, it is electric vehicle it is sports scooter so it has modes too fast charging service centre is available. I had done something around 12000 km driven this scooter for long ride it isn't good it is slightly uncomfortable it could give you back pain and scooter may could get heat if you are riding in the summer weather. This scooter isn't for long ride but if you want this for going to college, school or for work it's good vehicle. This scooter looks attractive and has good enough speed to reach the destination. Honestly, it was the Warp mode and the sheer acceleration. I wanted the quickest scooter on the road. The 'regenerative braking was very good in traffic areas. The transparent panels look sharp, too.. Overall its worth these performance is very impressive as it claims. Hitting 80-100 km/h is instant and effortless. On the highway, it holds its speed well, but you definitely have to stick to Eco/Ride mode to get a usable range. The Magic Twist feature is a game changer for stop-and-go traffic. Yes, I would recommend it, but only for the right person. Buy it if you love performance, want a premium, feature packed experience, and mostly use it for city or short distance highway travel.
