Honda Shine 100 DX is based on its less expensive sibling Shine 100. Over that, the Shine 100 DX gets better graphics, larger fuel tank and a digital instrument console. Apart from that, all other features and design silhouette remains the same. Mechanically, both the bikes are identical with DX being slightly heavier due to the larger fuel tank. Shine 100 DX has tubeless tyres and alloy wheels, Combi Brake System (CBS) and side stand engine cut-off. The braking duties are handled by drum brakes at both ends: 130 mm front, and 110 mm rear. The kerb weight is 103 kg, which is slightly heavier than the Shine 100 but still one of the lightest in the segment.
Engine & Performance
With a 4-speed gearbox, the 98.98 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine produces 7.38 PS at 7,500 rpm and 8.05 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The lightweight body and smooth power delivery makes it a good commuter that is easy to handle.
