Kawasaki has launched the KLX230 in India for Rs 3,30,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The unofficial bookings had begun way back and now the bike is officially on sale in India. The motorcycle is available in a single variant and two colour options: Lime Green and Battle Grey.
Engine and Underpinnings
The Kawasaki KLX230 is powered by a 233cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which makes 19PS and 19.8Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets a perimeter frame, a telescopic fork and a monoshock which offers 240mm wheel travel in the front and 250mm of wheel travel at the rear, while the overall ground clearance is 265mm, the seat height is a massive 880mm. The kerb weight stands at 139kg. The motorcycle rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire spoke wheels wrapped with dual purpose tyres. Brakes include a 265mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.
Features
The Kawasaki KLX230 features an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via the Kawasaki Rideology App. Other features include switchable rear ABS and LED lights all-round.
Delivery Date and Rivals
Deliveries for the Kawasaki KLX230 are expected to begin soon. The motorcycle has no natural rivals in India but other option you can consider in the same price range are the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
