Gets hybrid tech and a feature-loaded TFT console
Yamaha has launched the FZ-X Hybrid in India at a price of Rs 1,49,990 (ex-showroom Delhi). As the name suggests, the bike now gets hybrid tech, a feature loaded TFT console and a new paint scheme. Here’s everything about this new offering from Yamaha:
What’s New
For 2025, Yamaha has given the FZ-X a mild-hybrid tech which we saw in the FZ-S a few months back. It uses a SMG (smart motor generator), along with an engine Stop/start system. The electric motor provides a small boost while accelerating, and ensures better mileage. It also gets a silent starter. The bike also gets a 4.2-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-connect app, and supports Google maps integrated turn-by-turn navigation along with SMS/call alerts. The Hybrid variant will be specifically available in a new colour scheme called the Matte Titan, which is a light greenish matte colour.

Yamaha has also announced that the standard variant of the FZ-X will continue to be available in two paint schemes: Matte Blue and Metallic Black, for the standard variant which is priced at Rs 1,29,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).
What’s Unchanged
The FZ-X Hybrid retains its neo-retro design with a round LED headlight, metal fuel tank, side panels and block pattern tyres. It uses the same 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 12.4PS at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm. It uses a conventional telescopic fork and rear monoshock with preload adjustability. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 100-section front and a 140-section rear tyre.

It gets a 282mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc brake setup with a single channel ABS. The FZ-X Hybrid also gets the same features as the normal FZ-X, like the switchable traction control, all LED lights, side stand engine cut-off and a USB charger.
BikeDekho Says
The new FZ-X Hybrid is Rs 20,000 more than the standard variant, which is a lot of money, considering that its streetfighter sibling, the FZ-S Hybrid is priced just Rs 10,000 more than the non-hybrid variant.
We also tested the mileage of the standard variant of the FZ-X, and got some impressive figures: 55kmpl in the city and 48kmpl out on the highway. These figures are not at all bad for a 150cc commuter and with the Hybrid tech, these figures are expected to go up even further. That said, for someone who does not want all the fancy features which the new variant offers, the standard FZ-X still makes a lot of sense.
