2025 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Launched: No Price Hike

Gets new colours, projector headlights among other updates

Quick Highlights:

  • Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Ninja 300 in India

  • It gets a few feature updates apart from revised colour schemes

  • At Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the price remains unchanged when compared to the 2024 model

Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Ninja 300 in India at a price of Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is the same as the previous version. It still remains the cheapest parallel-twin faired bike in India and is a lot more affordable than the Yamaha R3 and Aprilia RS 457.

What’s New

For 2025, Kawasaki has given the Ninja 300 new liveries: Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Gray. Kawasaki has played it safe with the new colours as they don’t look all that different than the 2024 colours, at least to the common man.

It also gets a slightly taller windshield which should provide better wind protection. Although the headlights on the NInja 300 have never been an area of concern, Kawasaki has given it a twin projector headlight setup which should theoretically provide better illumination, especially for night riding. Along with this, it also gets updated MRF tyres - Nylogrip Zapper FX2 at the front and Nylogrip Zapper S1 at the back.

What Remains Unchanged

Visually, the Ninja 300 keeps its aggressive looks with well designed twin headlamps, halogen indicators and neat looking halogen tail light. While the design looked modern about a decade or so ago, it has started showing its age now. It gets the same raised clip-on handlebars, a split seat setup and the semi-digital instrument cluster continues to display all the necessary information. Sadly, there’s still no smartphone connectivity.

Other than the minor changes the Ninja 300 remains mechanically unchanged. It still gets the tried and tested 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which makes 39PS at 11,000 rpm and 26.1Nm at 10,000 rpm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch for smoother, more controlled gear shifts. The chassis also remains the same - a tubular diamond frame with 37mm conventional telescopic fork and a linked rear monoshock with a 5-step preload adjustability.

There is a 290mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brake setup, with dual-channel ABS for added safety. The Ninja 300 uses 17-inch alloy wheels, with the front tyre being a 110 section and the rear tyre being a 140-section.

BikeDekho Says

Even with these minor updates, the Ninja 300 looks pretty identical to the version launched back in 2013, as the motorcycle has remained visually unchanged. The bike is able to stay relevant only because of the fact that it is the most affordable parallel-twin faired bike in India. Even then, the price is a bit much for such a dated motorcycle. In 2025, we have motorcycles like the KTM RC 390 and the TVS Apache RR 310 which not only provide thrilling performance (despite having a cylinder less) but are extremely loaded in terms of features and technology, not to mention a lot more affordable.

That said, the actual rivals of the Ninja 300 are the Yamaha R3 and the Aprilia RS 457, both of which are Rs 16,900 and Rs 79,000 more expensive, respectively. Here’s where the RS457 makes a lot of sense as the premium shouldn’t be much of a problem in EMI terms, especially for someone who is willing to spend over Rs 3 lakh on a motorcycle. The RS457 is considerably more powerful and feature-packed, and also looks a lot more modern.

A Budget Beast

Been using it for almost 5 years now and never had it left me on the road stranding. The bike is a superstar with almost 26-30 mileage, it is just an unbeatable combination of power and efficiency. Cornering is so much fun after I upgraded the three and barely I was ever unsatisfied with the looks and styling its got.Read More

Performance and reliability

I chose Ninja 300 for its performance, strong top-end power as I was about passionate about riding. Its good beginner- friendly and revs without being jerky. Has comfortable ergonomics and is a balanced bike with reliability. So far engine was smooth and linear. Sporty but not aggressive and power is usable for city and highways. Longer rider are somewhat comfortable and is stable. Display and techs are basic and is slightly heavy. Braking could be sharper to some extent. Yes, I would recommend Ninja 300 for smooth, reliable and well-balanced to ride easily and still have fun on rides. It tend to have better performance but lacks some basic features which other bikes in the same segment offer.Read More

Smooth engine, strong highway performance and spor

I choose this bike mainly because of its smooth engine and highway comfort. It feels very stable at high speed and gives confidence while riding. Looks are sporty and premium which I liked. In city suspension feels little stiff but I was ok with that compromise. Ride experience is mostly positive. On highways it feels planted and smooth even at higher speed. Handling is very good and cornering feels safe. Mileage is decent not too low not too high. In city traffic and bad roads you feel bumps little more. Yes I will recommend this bike to people who love riding on highways and enjoy sporty riding style. It is not for someone who want soft suspension or only daily city use. Buy it if you want performance and feel, avoid if mileage is main concern.Read More
