The CB150X is now the smallest ADV offering from Honda

  • It’s powered by a 149cc 4-valve liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine.
  • Sports similar tall stance and muscular styling as other ‘X’ models.
  • Gets a 7mm lower seat height (810mm) and 14mm higher ground clearance (181mm) than the CB200X.

At the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto, Astra Honda has launched its first new offering in the form of the all-new CB150X. Here’s what the smallest ADV from Honda offers.

Unlike the CB200X sold in India, the new Honda CB150X boasts proper ADV styling. The cladding looks quite bulky and complements the tall stance well. The CB150X gets LED illumination, a decently tall windscreen and a front beak.

Honda has plonked in a CB150R Streetfire-sourced 149cc 4-valve liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The output figures haven’t been revealed yet but it shouldn’t be too different from the CB150 Streetfire’s 16.9PS and 13.8Nm. Since the bike gets an actual liquid-cooling system, the shrouds should be useful in keeping the dirt away.

It gets a diamond-type frame while the suspension duties are handled by a 37mm Showa USD fork with 150mm travel and a linked Showa monoshock. The braking hardware comprises front and rear disc brakes. Aiding the CB150X’s ADV purpose is the 181mm of ground clearance and a brush finish aluminium bash plate.

In Indonesia, the Honda CB150X is set to RP 32 million onwards (which is around Rs 1.67 lakh). Compared to the CB200X, the new ADV costs almost Rs 21,000 more. However, it won’t be entering the Indian market anytime soon.
