Husqvarna Svartpilen 201 Latest Updates
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 has been spotted testing by one of our colleagues near Bajaj’s plant in Chakan. The black and white test mule looked identical to the international-spec version albeit with a few changes.
The styling of the new Husqvarna bike is similar to its bigger sibling, the Svartpilen 250, complete with scrambler-like looks, braced handlebar and upright ergonomics. Feature-wise, it gets an all-digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting system. Like the quarter-litre scrambler sold here, the India-spec Svartpilen 200 also gets a large single-piece grab rail.
Powering the bike is the same 199. 5cc single-cylinder engine that does duty on the KTM 200 Duke, producing 25PS and 19. 3Nm and working alongside a 6-speed transmission.
The underpinnings are also similar to the KTM 200 Duke, including the same USD front fork, rear monoshock and disc brakes on both ends. Dual-channel ABS will be standard on the India-spec motorcycle. Like the Svartpilen 250, the India-spec Svartpilen 200 is also likely to be shod with MRF Revz FD dual-purpose tyres. We expect the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200’s India launch in early 2021 at around Rs 1. 65 lakh (ex-showroom).
