The recently spied test mule featured an oil cooler and we believe it could be the same 199.6cc single-cylinder air-/oil-cooled engine from the Hero XPulse 200 4V. It produces 19.1PS and 17.35Nm on the dual-sport bike, however, the naked could get a slightly sportier tuning.
It features a USD fork and monoshock suspension setup along with discs at both ends for braking. Expect it to get dual-channel ABS as standard.
We expect Hero to launch the naked sometime earlier next year with a price tag of around Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. With that, Hero will have an offering to go up against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the Yamaha FZ 25.
