The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is now available in three variants: Standard, Pro and Carbon.
The standard variant remains the same as it was before. It gets a regular cable throttle, single-channel ABS, colour LCD console and panic brake alert.
The Pro variant adds an inverted telescopic fork, dual-channel ABS, ride modes, ride-by-wire and cruise control.
The top-spec carbon variant gets TFT console, back-lit switches, adjustable clutch lever and a coloured wheel over the features of the Pro variant.
The Xtreme 160R 4V’s engine now produces 0.2 PS more power at 8,750 rpm, with peak power arriving 250 rpm higher than before. The kerb weight has increased by 1.5kg (now weighs 149kg), and the seat height is now 5mm taller at 805mm.

In terms of colours, the Carbon variant is available in Carbon Red, Carbon Black, Carbon Grey and Abrax Orange. The Pro variant, meanwhile, gets Pro Red and Pro Black. As for the base variant, it gets two shades: Firestorm Red & Pearl Black.
The bike is powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine, which makes 17.1 PS at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It gets disc brakes at both ends and has an inverted telescopic fork and a monoshock.
As for features, the list includes ride modes (Rain, Road & Sports), dual-channel ABS, cruise control, drag lap timer and panic brake alert.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Accessories
Hero has also introduced a range of accessories for the Xtreme 160R 4V. These include a headlight cowl, lever guards, tank grips and engine guards. Buyers can also opt for winglets to give the bike a sportier appearance, along with a new seat cover.

The Hero Xtreme 250R receives a more substantial update with the launch of a new top variant, with several new electronic rider aids and convenience features. The biggest additions are cruise control, traction control and four ride modes: Rain, Road, Sport and Track. Each mode alters the traction control and ABS intervention to suit different riding conditions.
The motorcycle also gets ride-by-wire, a Type-C charging port, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a TFT console. Another major addition is a bidirectional quickshifter, making the Xtreme 250R the first Hero motorcycle to feature one. The bike also gets a radial rear tyre from CEAT, called the SportRad.
On the performance front, the engine now produces 0.3 Nm more torque at 7,500 rpm, with peak torque arriving 250 rpm higher than before. Apart from these changes, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged.

The Xtreme 250R also gets three new colour schemes: Carbon Red, Carbon Black and Carbon White. Of these, the Carbon White shade is our favourite, as it gives the motorcycle a fresh and distinctive appearance thanks to the white alloy wheels.
The most powerful Hero bike is powered by a 250cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which makes 30.2 PS at 9,250 rpm and 25.3 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Disc brakes at both ends, the inverted telescopic fork and the monoshock all remain the same.
Apart from the new features mentioned above, the list continues with switchable dual-channel ABS with rear wheel lift-off protection and smartphone connectivity features.
BikeDekho Says
The updates to both Hero Xtreme motorcycles are welcome, although the Xtreme 250R benefits considerably more from the additions. Features such as cruise control, traction control, ride modes and a bidirectional quickshifter make it a more feature-rich offering in the segment. The Xtreme 160R 4V, meanwhile, gets more modest upgrades, with the TFT console, adjustable levers and new accessories being its key highlights.
Bookings have commenced, and deliveries for both bikes will start from November 1, 2026. Considering the price of both bikes, the updates seem fairly reasonable overall. The Xtreme 160R 4V continues to compete against the recently updated Bajaj Pulsar N160 SS and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, while the Xtreme 250R takes on the KTM 250 Duke.

- Total honest review after 6000 kmI choose this bike for its sporty looks, power and the balanced light weight body which made it good for every day commuting (on highways) also had a really good acceleration and low end tourq for the city over takes. Pros: 1. Light weight and light handling. 2. Good low end tourq for city. 3. Looks are also stunning. 4. Comfortable in ride even if drove around 300 km a day. Cons: 1. Top end is not very well, feels under power after 75. 2. The limiter hits early each gear. 3. Build is not very reliable. 4. Mileage drops rapidly as soon as you drove a little harsh. This bike is okay for city tour and every day commuting, even though the power to weight ratio is good on paper, in every day life it isn't. Also the build quality is not very well as recently had an minor accident and the left usd broke, rim got bent. Leaving that side, it has a great acceleration till 70-80 after then the engine gets some stress. Mileage is also not a great highlight in this but ok around 35-37. So in the conclusion, I would recommend this bike only for normal usage, don't have any high hopes from this bike.Read More
