Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Yamaha, is all set to introduce its all new 2016 MotoGP bike “YZR-M1” to the world’s media at Movistar’s head office in Barcelona on 18th January. Yamaha will also organise a special event to present the bike, which will be spiced up with the presence of well-known Italian motorcycle racer and multiple MotoGP world champion “Valentino Rossi” and the professional Spanish motorcycle road racer “Jorge Lorenzo”.

Yamaha YZR-M1 comes in striking Blue color which is the most prominent shade for the bike. The machine bear the same outfits with some minute changes. Yamaha has also announced the sponsored title for 2016 MotoGP Championship, i.e. Movistar mobile phone operator.

Powering the bike is 1,000cc, liquid cooled, inline four-cylinder engine with a cross-plane crankshaft that is mated to a 6-speed cassette-type gearbox. The mill pumps out a whopping power of 236 bhp. The bike is equipped with 16.5-inches MRF forged magnesium wheels and Bridgestone tyres at both ends. The fierce stopping power is provided by two 320mm carbon Brembo disc brakes with four-piston calipers at the front and Single stainless steel rear disc brake with a twin-piston caliper at the rear. The suspension duties are carried out by Ohlins upside down forks at the front and Ohlins mono shock absorber at the rear. Stay tuned to know more!
