Let’s see how the adventure motorcycles fare against each other via pictures

Italian auto manufacturer Voge recently launched the Valico 300 Rally adventure motorcycle in its home market. The ADV doesn’t just look fascinating but is also properly off-road-friendly. However, how does it fare against the desi ADV, the Royal Enfield Himalayan? Find out via images:

WIth an angular body language, the Voge Valico 300 Rally gets a modern ADV styling with high front fenders and a long windshield. It gets a twin-halogen headlight setup that resembles bug eyes.

The RE Himalayan on the other hand gets a retro and spartan appeal with the ADV styling accentuated by the rounded headlamps and rear view mirrors, which is also the signature Royal Enfield look. With minimal body panels, the Himalayan looks rugged yet classy.

The Voge Valico 300 Rally gets a long and narrow single-piece seat, whereas the Himalayan gets more cushiony split seats.

Powering the Valico 300 Rally is a 292cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is good for 28.5PS and 25Nm. It is mated to a six-speed transmission. Even though the Himalayan gets a much bigger 411cc engine, it is air-cooled and produces less power at 24.3PS, but much higher torque, at 32Nm. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The Voge Valico Rally 300 flaunts a 37mm USD fork up front with 205mm of travel and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability and 80mm of travel. It is anchored by discs on both ends, paired with dual channel ABS as standard.

The Himalayan’s underpinnings include a 41mm telescopic fork up front with 200mm travel and a rear monoshock with 180mm of travel. It comes with discs at both ends with switchable ABS for offroading.

Both the ADVs roll on wire-spoke 21 inch wheels up front. However, at the rear, the Himalayan gets smaller 17 inch wheels as compared to the Valico Rally 300’s 18 inchers.

Features on the Voge Valico 300 Rally seem pretty outdated as it gets a negative LCD digital cluster with no Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity. The RE Himalayan gets a semi-digital cluster, with a Tripper navigation pod as an accessory for smartphone connectivity and navigation.

The Voge Valico 300 Rally is priced at Euro 4,400, equivalent to Rs 3.64 lakh. The RE Himalayan is the most affordable (proper) ADV in India and comes at an asking price of Rs 2,14,519 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Valico 300 Rally will not be heading to our shores anytime soon, and if you are looking for something less expensive, you can check out the Hero Xpulse 200.
