Upcoming Bike And Scooter Launches: August 2024

From the revival of a timeless retro roadster bike to the announcement of a new electric bike in the market, here’s everything new coming your way in August 2024

Coming from an action-packed July, we’re stepping into the exciting month of August. Here’s our roundup of the bikes and scooters expected to launch this month.

2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 (Expected Price: Rs 1.93 Lakh)

We received an invite to a Royal Enfield event on August 12, 2024, where we think the updated 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be launched. The bike is expected to get a new LED headlight along with new colours and graphics. The updated Classic 350 will continue to be powered by the same 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder J-series engine that produces 20.21PS at 6100rpm and 27Nm at 4000rpm and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

BSA Gold Star (Expected Price: Rs 3.5 lakh)

Classic Legends is all set to launch the retro roadster bike, the BSA Gold Star in India on August 15, 2024. The Gold Star will be powered by a 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, engine that produces 45.6PS at 6500rpm and 55Nm at 4000rpm and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike sports a retro-looking round halogen headlight, the taillight and turn indicators are LEDs. It is equipped with a single-piece seat setup and a peashooter exhaust. While the bike is already launched and available in the UK, we will get it soon. Overall the bike has a classic design and the big single-cylinder engine will provide a unique riding experience.

2024 TVS Jupiter (Expected Price: Rs 85,000)

TVS has sent us an invite for the launch of a new scooter. We think it can be the new 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 or the speculated CNG-powered scooter. The 2024 TVS Jupiter will likely be redesigned and have a sporty avatar while being powered by the same 109.7cc engine that makes 7.88PS and 8.8Nm. While TVS has kept us guessing, we will only find out soon at the event.

Ola Electric Bike Announcement (Expected Price: Rs 1.5 Lakh)

In a recent video posted by Ola Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, on his X handle (formerly Twitter), we saw the upcoming Ola electric bike being tested. While not many details were revealed, it looks like a roadster-style bike with an upright body posture. It looks like the bike has a simple single-piece handlebar and an LED headlight. The bike likely houses an in-house battery pack, along with a chain-drive system that the company is working on. This will likely compete with a 125cc petrol-powered bike. We think the final production version will be showcased on Independence Day, August 15, 2024.
