Explore what else you can get for the money you'd spend on the TVS Raider.

    TVS Raider 125

The TVS Raider 125 offers the practicality of a commuter with a hint of sportiness and many premium features. Targeting young, dynamic riders, the Raider is available in six variant options with price ranging from Rs 82,000 to Rs 97,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, if you are not a fan of the Raider, there are many other options available in the market – from electric scooters to sporty bikes, here are some different options you can buy in the same price range.

    Revolt RV1

    Price: Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Revolt RV1

If going electric is on your radar, the Revolt RV1 can be an interesting pick. It features a friendly, commuter design, and despite being electric, it weighs less than the Raider. The top speed of the RV1 is capped at 70kmph, offering a smooth and quiet ride experience throughout. The claimed range is about 100km on a full charge in the Eco mode, which is more than enough for commuting. Its reverse mode can be pretty useful in traffic, and it will help you save money on fuel expenses.

    Bajaj Pulsar 125

    Price: Rs 81,438 - 92,046 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Bajaj Pulsar 125

You will like the Bajaj Pulsar 125 if you admire the iconic muscular design of the Pulsar family. While it has received some modern touches, including an LED headlamp and a digital instrument cluster, it carries the same unmistakable look that has been wowing riders for decades. Powering the bike is a punchy 11.8 PS engine that feels apt for city use and delivers decent fuel economy as well. You can read a more in-depth comparison of the Pulsar 125 with the Raider 125 here.

    Hero Xtreme 125R

    Price: Rs 89,000 - 1,04,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Hero Xtreme 125R

If the Raider's sportiness is not enough for you, the Hero Xtreme 125R offers a sharper, more radical streetfighter look. Its split LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank with bulky extensions, and sleek tail make it quite intimidating. Its sporty intent is further supported by an 11.5PS engine and a wide 120-section rear tyre. Moreover, it offers additional features such as a larger disc brake, front ABS and dual-channel ABS in the higher trim options.

We have compared the TVS Raider 125 with the Hero Xtreme 125R to find the best sporty commuter of the two.

    Bajaj Chetak C2501

    Price: Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Chetak C2501

The new Bajaj Chetak C2501 has the convenience of a scooter and electric efficiency, packaged with a retro-modern styling. Despite being the most accessible option in the brand's electric line-up, it brings Chetak's familiar metal body formula in a new monocoque construction. Its 2.5kWh battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in about 2.5 hours and claims to deliver a range of up to 113km on a full charge. The top speed of this electric scooter is just 60kmph, but that's more than the speed limits in most city confines.

    Hero Xoom 125

    Price: Rs 80,494 - 86,025 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Hero Xoom 125

For those who prefer scooters but don't want the typical commuter look, the Hero Xoom 125 is a good option. Powered by a 9.9PS, 10.4Nm engine, this scooter looks and feels sporty. Along with an edgy design, the Xoom 125 has large 14-inch wheels, a 120mm wide rear tyre and an LED projector headlamp. It also features sequential turn indicators and a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

    Honda Shine

    Price: Rs 80,852 - 85,211 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Honda Shine

If reliability and refinement matter more than fancy design and features for you, then you should look at the Honda Shine 125. Powered by a smooth and efficient 10.8 PS, 11 Nm engine, it has consistently been India's best-selling 125cc motorcycle for over a decade, and continues to be. While its proven simple and comfortable design language remains largely unchanged, the latest updates bring features such as a digital console, an idling stop system and a 15-watt Type-C charging port.

    TVS Jupiter 125

    Price: Rs 82,000 - 93,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    TVS Jupiter 125

If you want more convenience than any of the above, you should check out the TVS Jupiter 125. It may not look as appealing as the other options in this list, but it is one of the most family-friendly, do-it-all sorts of scooters in the Indian market. Its 8PS, 10.5Nm engine feels peppy enough for city rides and comes paired with a smooth automatic CVT transmission. With a decent fuel economy, it offers practical features such as front external fuel filling, a USB charging port and a generous under-seat space that's ample for storing two helmets.

Best Bike in the 125 cc Segment
As a mechanical engineer, I chose this bike for its sporty look, strong torque in the 125 cc segment, and comfortable posture for long rides. It also offers good features, a 14V battery, and bright headlights that provide better visibility at night compared to many other bikes. My TVS Raider 125 iGO gives around 75 Kmpl on highways when ridden at 0 to 60 Kmph and about 70 Kmpl above 60 Kmph. In city conditions like Dhule I get around 65 to 70 Kmpl. It also has great pickup strong torque for a 125 cc bike and a comfortable riding posture. Overall I am very happy with its performance. I absolutely love this bike and would recommend it to anyone looking for good looks comfort torque power and useful features in the 125 cc segment. As a mechanical engineer I appreciate its sporty design comfortable posture for long rides strong performance and bright headlight for better night visibility. Overall it offers a great balance of style efficiency and riding comfort.
