The Yamaha MT-15, since its launch in India, has been loved for its rev-happy engine, sharp handling while offering a comfortable riding posture. The bike is currently in its second iteration and sells quite well in its segment.
Yamaha sold 9,490 units of the MT-15 in February 2025, which is a 10.80% decrease in MoM sales figures while the YoY sales figures have been dwindling too with a slight decrease of 5.54% in its sales. The Yamaha R15, considered as the best entry-level sportsbike in India, has developed a loyal fan-following since its launch back in 2008. It has received many updates over the years and is in its fourth iteration currently. The Yamaha R15 range consists of three models: the R15 V4, the R15M and the R15S.
Yamaha sold 7,157 units of the R15 V4 in February 2025, which is a 13.39% decline in MoM sales, and a 35.68% decline in Y-o-Y sales figures. Even though the R15 is quite a unique bike in the segment with exciting performance and fantastic handling capabilities while making it easier for beginner riders to get used to supersports, the bike has become expensive for some buyers over the years with the R15M’s top-end colour variant costing Rs 2,10,800 (ex-showroom).

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (2009-2025) User Reviews
- Great Performance and Handling but City Mileage CoI chose the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V TFT USD model mainly for its sporty design, features and strong road presence. The bike feels very stable on highways and comfortable for daily city rides. Handling is sharp and confidence inspiring. It is also good for family usage when riding normally. Overall the build quality, braking and features like TFT display make the bike feel premium in this segment. Ride quality so far has been very good. The Apache RTR 160 4V TFT USD has excellent handling and stability. In highways the bike feels planted and smooth even at higher speeds. Braking performance and suspension are also good for most road conditions. But the biggest downside for me is the city mileage. In city I am getting around 28 to 32 kmpl, which is lower than expected for a 160cc bike. If someone wants good performance, sporty design, great handling and modern features, the Apache RTR 160 4V TFT USD is a very good choice. However mileage is the only reason I hesitate to recommend it to everyone. Competitors like Pulsar N160 give better mileage in city conditions. So if mileage is your main priority you may consider other options, but apart from that the bike is really enjoyable to ride.Read More3

- Apache RTR reviewAccording to online review it's the best bike in the segment. I reviewed other bikes in the segment and everybody has their pros and cons but this is the overall best friend and it has been running on the roads were years that's why. Very punchy and comfortable. It's very manuvareble in traffic and the blood through technology is very helpful in the driving also when it comes to I wait as a very good performance. Mileage is pretty good. Yes to anyone in this segment. Even even has an interesting 160 CC segment this is the best way to go for according to me as it as too much features for the price range and it is very much good for this age group.Read More5 3
- My journey of apache rtr 160 4vBecause of double channel abs its effective for mountain and city. It comes with good ground clearance and better seating posture. Also include good mileage during rides. Gear shift are good and overall power is excellent As I said mileage is quite good, compared to other bikes on this segment riding pasture are also good enough. On highways its good as compared to n160. One thing that I recommend front tyre size it might be increased to 100. If you are College going student or a employee you can opt this bike, in city and highways this bike gives you best results and if you have to travel around 80-120 km regular you can look at this side, specially if you are off road riders. This gives you more ground clearance then n160.Read More1 3
- Outstanding performanceHighly praised as a sporty yet practical all-rounder, excelling with its strong, smooth, and powerful engine for its class, agile handling, comfortable ergonomics for city commutes and occasional touring. Excellent features like GTT and slipper clutch, good mileage (around 45 km/l), and overall value, though some mention potential higher maintenance costs and lack of advanced safety like ABS on base models. TVs Apache RTR 160 4v is good performance bike in 160cc segment out standing performance it's looking beautiful.Read More2 2
