From a family scooter that costs less than Rs 50,000 to an Adv-like electric bike, the Indian EV space has a lot to offer

    Top 5 EVs

This Diwali, switch to electric and celebrate responsibly! With better range, improved charging, and some exciting new launches, 2025 is the perfect year to embrace green mobility. From practical scooters to an (almost) adventure bike, here are the top 5 EVs to buy this festive season:

    Vida VX2

    Rs 44,990 to Rs 82,790 (ex-showroom)

    Vida VX2

Hero MotoCorp’s Vida VX2 is one of the most affordable ways to join the r-EV-olution. The VX2 Go with the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) model starts at just Rs 44,990. Under this scheme you only pay for the scooter up front, and pay a subscription fee for the battery, based on your usage. On the other hand, the VX2 Plus with full battery ownership costs Rs 82,790 (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) claimed range for the removable batteries is between 92km to 142km. Compact, convenient, and backed by a major brand, this Vida scooter makes perfect sense for first-time electric scooter buyers — just don’t expect high-speed thrills.

    TVS iQube S

    Rs 1,17,642 (ex-showroom)

    TVS iQube S

The TVS iQube scooter range remains one of the most reliable electric scooters around. Its 3.5kWh battery delivers 145km of IDC range. The 7-inch TFT console gets Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, phone alerts, music controls, and more. It’s smooth, solidly built, and backed by TVS’ wide service network. Its performance isn’t sporty, but for fuss-free urban use, the TVS iQube S is spot on.

    Bajaj Chetak 3501

    Rs 1,22,500 (ex-showroom)

    Bajaj Chetak

A timeless design meets modern tech — the Bajaj Chetak carries forward the brand’s legendary charm in electric form. With its full-metal body, 3.5kWh battery, and 153km claimed range – it feels premium and robust. It’s slightly heavier than some rivals, but its quality, reliability, and nostalgic appeal make it one of the most desirable EVs this season.

    Ather 450X 3.7kWh

    Rs 1,58,000 (ex-showroom)

    Ather 450X

The Ather 450X remains the benchmark for electric performance. The 3.7kWh battery offers a claimed 161km range. The motor’s capable of 6.4kW power, 90kmph top speed, and 3.3-second 0-40kmph acceleration time. The 7-inch TFT touchscreen console, fast charging support, and frequent OTA updates make it one of the most feature-packed scooters here. Its sharp handling and brisk acceleration make the 450X as fun as it is efficient — perfect for those who want a sporty e-scooter.

    Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover

    Rs 2,49,000 to Rs 4,49,000 (ex-showroom)

    Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover

The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover offers up to 323km of claimed range, gets radar-based safety tech, and boasts a design like no other. With multiple variants and top-notch performance, it’s the most advanced electric bike on sale today. It’s pricey, yes, but also the most thrilling way to go green this Diwali.

I choose this bike because, I heard from someone electric bike is more value for money, first I thought there will not so much difference then I search, I saw it so value for money and I adviced to buy a chetak. My ride was so far because this EV is the most value for money fuel, first I was using a bike of 160 cc it's average for me was very less in 1 litre petrol it goes nearly 25 to 27 km but, I have taken EV so no need to go for petrol thanks. Yes because it's mileage is very good, I like this bike personally we should don't waste money on petrol because EV is the most value for money fuel from my side advice is we should not use petrol diesel thanks my review after taking chetak was so best.

VIDA VX2 IS A GOOD FOR ME
For my daily up and down from office, when I have a bike, my petrol costs are very high and servicing, maintenance are then my electric scooter, so I decided to buy an under budget scooter. So I buy this. In this scooter, better comfort than other scooter. This is cost effective scooter. When your daily running is under 80 km, then this will best for you. This is RTO registered scooter. This scooter have 70 km/hr top speed. This scooter is good for student and older, girls and delivery partner and courier boy for better earning. This is easy to use and affordable price, better battery pack and nice look, big seat and USB socket. At the end, Vida VX2 is my good choice.

      My opinion
It has clean finishing good looking, thin having, good mileage, having better features than any other petrol scooter, it is electric vehicle it is sports scooter so it has modes too fast charging service centre is available. I had done something around 12000 km driven this scooter for long ride it isn't good it is slightly uncomfortable it could give you back pain and scooter may could get heat if you are riding in the summer weather. This scooter isn't for long ride but if you want this for going to college, school or for work it's good vehicle. This scooter looks attractive and has good enough speed to reach the destination. Its good scooter you can go for it if you want.

      V good bike
Premium build, starts from 2.5 to 4 lakh. Price increase with warranty and range. I chose for few reasons 1) hill control 2) regent breaking 3) aesthetics) Premium build 4) Indian start up 5) very low centre of gravity 6) sticks to road due to heavy weight and traction control. Very comfortable, bit costly but worth it, service is good. They visit home to serve by taking 10 rs per km. Low maintenance, shockers are very good, load of safety features, hill hold , very practical feature, park assist, regent breaks, traction control. Daily ride is minimum 30 km, saves petrol if you ride more, home charging facility. For touring one way 170 km is ok, to charge and return back. Very economical, though initial investment is more, but if you ride heavily you will find it cheap in long run. Warranty for recon plus ( rs 4 lakh) goes to 8 lakh km or 8 years by paying 45000 extra, Without that its 5 year or 5 lakh km.
