BREAKING: Ultraviolette X47 Crosover Launched At Rs 2.49 Lakh, India’s First Electric Adventure Bike?

Electric motorcycle maker Ultraviolette has expanded its lineup in India with the launch of the X-47 Crossover. This electric bike comes at an introductory price of Rs 2,49,000 for the first 1,000 bookings, rising to Rs 2,74,000 (both ex-showroom, for the base variant) later on.

Booking And Delivery

Deliveries are set to begin from October 2025, with bookings already open on the brand’s official website for Rs 999. The bike is available in three variants: Original, Recon, and Desert Wing; the pre-booking amount for this limited edition variant is set at Rs 4,999.

Design And Styling

The X-47 features a design that blends adventure-tourer styling with elements from the Ultraviolette F77, including the same angular headlight – but now with a fairly large windscreen above it. High handlebars with knuckle guards and optional accessories like panniers and auxiliary lights hint at the bike’s touring and light off-road intentions. It’s offered in 3 colours: Laser Turbo Red, Shadow Cosmic Black, and Airstrike Stellar White.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

It is the first bike in its segment to offer radar-assisted Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) called ‘Hypersense’. The system provides a wide field of view at the rear, enabling features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear collision warnings, lane change alerts, and overtaking assistance. Note that the radar system is only at the rear and is standard across all variants.

Dual Cameras

The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover also gets two optional cameras: one at the front and another at the rear. They act as dashcams as well as help the ADAS function, and offer rear park assist by displaying the rear camera’s feed on the dedicated secondary 5-inch touchscreen above the instrument console.

Other Features

The bike comes with switchable dual-channel ABS, 4-level traction control, nine levels of regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, and dynamic stability control. Riders interact with these systems through a primary display that shows speed, range, and lean angle.

Motor And Performance

Powering this Ultraviolette bike is a 30kW, 100Nm (both peak) electric motor with 610Nm at the wheel, with a claimed top speed of 145kmph. It can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 2.7 seconds and 0-100kmph in 8.1 seconds. It also has 3 ride modes: Glide, Combat, And Ballistic.

Battery And Range

The Recon and limited edition Desert Wing variant come with a 10.3kWh battery pack with an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 323km. While the base ‘Original’ variant gets a 7.1kWh battery and has a 211km range. The BMS (Battery Management System) comes with a patented 5-level safety system – Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical, Electronic, and Software protection.

Charging is handled via a 1.6 kW onboard air-cooled charger, which includes safety features like surge and earth leakage protection. This means you need not have to carry the bulky charger, all you need to carry is just a charging cable, which can easily fit into a pocket.

Underpinnings

This electric bike has a steel trellis frame, and a cast aluminium subframe (first on an Ultraviolette EV). It gets a 41mm inverted fork and a monoshock – both preload adjustable and with 170mm of wheel travel. Braking is managed by Brembo disc brakes: 320mm front with 4-piston fixed caliper and 230mm rear with 2-piston floating caliper.

The riding posture is upright but with a little bit of forward lean for sportiness. It has 17-inch wheels with a 110-section front and 150-section rear tyre – both block pattern. The bike has a relatively high 820mm seat height – 20mm more than the F77 SuperStreet. Its 200mm ground clearance should be sufficient to go off the road if you need to. The base variant weighs 197kg, while the top and the limited edition variant weigh 208kg – both kerb.
