The 2023 iteration comes in a standard variant with alloys and a new SW variant, with spoke wheels

Bhagwan ke ghar der hai, andher nahin, they say. And that does seem true, especially so after KTM has finally given the 390 Adventure a much-needed update: spoke wheels.

As a part of its 2023 update, the 390 Adventure finally gets a new spoke-wheeled variant with aluminium rims. That said, the brand’s still stuck to a 19-/17-inch wheel setup instead of a full-blown 21-inch front wheel, meaning this bike will still lean towards the road-biased side of things. What this variant also gets is a new orange colour on the frame with new graphics, more in line with the brand’s racing livery.

Other bits have remained unchanged. The bike still makes 43.5PS and 37Nm from the 373cc liquid-cooled engine. Other bits like the 5-inch TFT, ByBre brakes and the bike’s tech-laden self have all remained the same. While spoked-wheels are definitely a welcome addition, what the bike truly needed was a change in its firm suspension and in its sprocketing, something that would’ve ensured a better low-end grunt.

This variant of the bike retails for 6,699 GBP (approximately Rs 6.75 lakh), while the standard variant costs 6,299 GBP (approximately Rs 6.35 lakh). So will this variant come to India? We think it’s likely! Until then, if you’re looking for a true-blue off-roader in that range, nothing beats the spartan Royal Enfield Himalayan.

In related news, with the 2023 KTM 390 Duke incoming and the spotting of the 2025 KTM RC series, we sure have a lot of good stuff incoming from the Austrian brand too.
