The first spy shots of the next-generation supersports reveal updated chassis and styling

Spy shots of the next-generation KTM RC 390 and the RC 125 have surfaced on the Internet. The supersport duo has been spotted for the first time and flaunts the new, heavily reworked bodywork and chassis.

The new KTM RC 390 and RC 125 get a complete design overhaul, sporting a single-piece fairing design inspired by the KTM RC 8C. The test mules did not flaunt the Duke-derived headlight, however, the naked projector on these bikes is likely to be changed as they near production.

Underneath the new fairing is the chassis from the next-generation model of the Duke family. The new trellis frame is complemented by a unique subframe, which could be a bolt-on aluminium unit like that of the bigger supersport. The offset monoshock and the swingarm are also shared with the upcoming Duke while the bionic wheels, lighter discs and the mirrors are from the current RC models.

For the RC 390, the Austrian marque will be using the new engine, which could be a 399cc liquid-cooled unit – 17cc more than the current model – that could push out more power too. That said, the RC 125 is likely to have the same displacement and could have the same performance output as the current model.

The new generation KTM RC 390 and RC 125 are still not close to entering production, and it is likely that the duo will debut in 2025. Before the supersports arrive though, the Austrian marque would be introducing the updated 125 Duke, 200 Duke and 390 Duke.
