Suzuki India has recalled over 4 lakh units of its 125cc scooters including the Access 125, the Avenis 125 and the Burgman Street. The recall is due to a faulty high-tension cord which is connected to the ignition coil.
Suzuki’s latest ADV, the V-Strom 800 DE, has also been recalled due to a rear tyre tread issue. The faulty tyre may develop cracks, which can affect the bike's handling and riding dynamics, increasing the risk of an accident.
We reached out to the brand, and they informed us that the recall for the scooters is a precautionary measure due to a minor issue. This is to ensure customers don't face any problems in the future. There haven't been any incidents or major safety complications with any scooter or bike.
