Royal Enfield Hunter 350: Top 5 Most Googled Questions Answered: Part 1

We answer the most common questions about the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, that people search online

The Hunter 350 has, in many ways, rewritten Royal Enfield’s impression in most rider’s minds, taking it from traditional to youthful. In fact, within a year of its launch, the Hunter 350 is already among the Chennai-based bikemaker’s better-selling models. All this no doubt pushes the interest online even further. So in our first edition of answering Google queries, we bring our attention to the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, and the top queries that people online have about it.

Is Hunter 350 a heavy bike?

The Hunter 350 is the lightest royal enfield bike, and weighs 181kg. Yes it is heavier than, say, the Bajaj Pulsar F250 (164kg) or even the KTM 390 Duke (171kg). And yes, it will need some effort to move it around in the parking lot, but only if you always keep it parked in a congested area. That said, once the Hunter 350 is in motion, it feels relatively light and nimble.

Is Hunter 350 suitable for 6 feet person?

The Hunter 350 has a seat height of 790mm, along with a mid-set footpeg position and ample tank recesses. This, along with the relatively low handlebar, gives it a sporty yet comfortable riding stance for tall riders as well. Summing up, taller riders will not feel cramped on the Hunter.

What is the mileage of Hunter 350?

The claimed mileage of Hunter 350 is 36.2kmpl. As part of our testing procedure for the Hunter 350, however, we got a city mileage of 40.19kmpl, and a highway mileage of 35.98kmpl.

Can we go on a long drive in Hunter 350?

Yes of course! The new J-platform engine is super-refined, and is a considerable jump from the older UCEs in terms of smoothness. That said, as long as you’re cruising at around 90kmph, the Hunter will keep chugging along without complaints. Cruising at 100kmph is also possible but there will be minor vibes, particularly on the handlebar and on the footpegs. Moreover, the Hunter 350 comes with an optional Tripper Pod (for navigation) which is very useful during long tours.

Royal Enfield also offers many accessories for the Hunter 350, like a more comfortable bench seat, cushioned pillion backrest, touring flyscreen, luggage pannier, engine guard and sump guard. All these, along with Royal Enfield’s range of riding gear, is exactly what you will need for going touring on the Hunter 350.
