The festive season is just around the corner and most of the two-wheeler manufacturers are putting their best foot forward. Following the same, Royal Enfield is all set to bring its most anticipated bike of the year, Royal Enfield Himalayan this November. The bike has already created a buzz amongst the bike enthusiasts, who are willing to try hands on this 410cc off-roader. With the launch of the Himalayan, Royal Enfield will enter a completely different territory that will redefine the off-road biking experience in the country. For Himalayan, RE has used newly developed 410cc, SOHC, fuel injected single-cylinder engine, which is expected to generate maximum power of 28bhp and the peak torque of 32Nm. Also, the engine of upcoming Royal Enfield bike is expected to rev up freely from 6500-7000rpm, which means the bike will not be hefty on the pockets in terms of mileage and maintenance.

Keeping the comfort of the riders, RE has used the mono-shock suspension for Himalayan, which is the first Royal Enfield bike to have that feature. It has also been added with all new instrument console with two trip meters, compass, and altimeter.

Now the question comes, Who will Himalayan compete against? So let me tell you, with Himalayan, Royal Enfield is creating an all-new segment in its class. We may take it to the competition with the bikes having a similar price range, but the price has not been disclosed yet. Though we have Pulsar AS 150 and AS 200 as an entry-level adventure sports bike, but they don’t seem a threat to the Himalayan. RE will assemble this bike in India itself, which will help the company to put a decent price tag to this adventure tourer. If priced well, this 410cc machine may bring a massive change in the Indian two-wheeler market. We can expect this bike to be priced somewhere around Rs. 2,00,000 - 2,20,000.
