Ola S1 Z Showcased At Auto Expo 2025

The Ola S1 Z comes with a swappable battery pack and is available in two variants

Quick Highlights

  • Ola S1 Z showcased at Auto Expo 2025

  • It gets a swappable battery pack

  • Prices start from Rs 59,999 (ex-showroom Delhi)

Ola has showcased its new range of electric scooters, the Ola S1 Z at the Auto Expo 2025. The Ola S1 Z was launched with two variants S1 Z and S1 Z+ in November 2024. The S1 Z costs Rs 59,999 while the S1 Z+ costs Rs 64,999 (both ex-showroom).

The all-new Ola S1 Z features a boxy design, with sharp lines, which is different from the typical design language of Ola Electric’s previous scooters. The S1 Z initially gets a single 1.5 kWh portable battery pack and customers can opt for an additional battery for more range. The claimed range figures are 75km for the single battery pack and 146km for the dual batteries. The S1 Z range features an in-wheel hub motor generating 3KW of peak power that accelerates it from 0-40kmph in just 4.7 seconds. The claimed top speed is 70kmph.

The S1 Z and the S1 Z+ mainly differ from each other mainly in terms of accessories and wheel sizes. The S1 Z gets 12-inch wheels while the S1 Z+ has 14-inch wheels and comes equipped with drum brakes. The two variants share the same chassis, battery packs, and motor. The S1 Z gets a single-piece seat while the S1 Z+ gets a storage rack instead of the rear seat. The S1 Z+ also gets accessories like luggage rack at both ends, pillion side step and a front apron for storage. The scooter also gets an LCD screen with smartphone connectivity.

Ola Electric will now have a new challenge for them, the swappable batteries. The batteries will need the infrastructure to make the swapping network functional. With Ola already struggling with the Hypercharging Stations, it's going to make things more complicated.

Very nice scooty

I was feed up by using public transport for several years as they are really disgusting and waste my too much time in traffics and all time got late due to these reasons then I saw this Ola scooter that is fit for heavy to heavy traffic conditions and also have good mileage so I choose this scooter and with the name of full trust brand Ola. The ride is quiet good but seats are so much tight for a long journey. It took around 120 km per charge and going for office work it is a nice choice to ride this scooter. In the city for small small work its a best options. Yes, obviously I would recommend this scooter to my employees, friend and especially for the students who take classes and go in a public transport and faces issues that sometimes they are late or not able to reach on time due to traffic, these scooter help them to go in a very bad traffic conditions also with its sleek design.Read More
