Overview
The Ola S1 Z is among the most-affordable electric scooters from Ola Electric, designed to cater to budget-conscious buyers. It is now equipped with the company’s indigenous Bharat Cell LFP battery technology, a fully made-in-India battery. The newly launched electric scooter is available in two variants, with a focus on affordability, range, technology and everyday practicality.
Ola S1 Z Price
The Ola S1Z is priced at Rs 79,999 for the 3.1kWh variant and Rs 99,999 for the 5.1kWh variant (ex-showroom). These are introductory prices. And while the prices have been announced, deliveries will only commence from December 2026 for the base 3.1kWh variant, and March 2027 for the 5.1kWh version.

The Ola S1Z is available in four colour options: White, Anthracite, Sky Splash Blue and Matcha Green.
Ola S1 Z Variants
The scooter is available in two variants and the main difference lies in the size of the battery between the two. The 3.1kWh version offers a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 179km, while the 5.1kWh variant delivers a claimed range of up to 301km.
Ola S1 Z Design
Both variants of the Ola S1 Z sport a simple, clean design with lots of flat elements on the bodywork. The horizontal LED headlight, and couple of creases on the sides give it a neat, modern look.
Ola S1 Z Battery And Range
As mentioned earlier, the 3.1kWh variant has a claimed IDC range of up to 179km, while the larger 5.1kWh version offers up to 301km. The scooter is powered by a mid-mounted 4kW (peak power) permanent magnet aluminium motor. The claimed top speed is 70kmph on both variants. Onboard charging options range from 500-750W chargers. It takes 5 hours 42 minutes to charge from 0-80% (claimed).
Ola S1 Z Features
The Ola S1Z uses the MoveOS 5 operating system, and gets features such as cruise control, regenerative braking, reverse mode, GPS, OTA (Over The Air) software updates and geofencing. It also offers ride statistics and energy insights through the Ola Electric app. The scooter additionally gets Easy Park, which helps riders manoeuvre into and out of tight parking spaces. It comes with a 3-year/ 40,000km standard warranty, extendable up to 8 years / 70,000km.
Ola S1 Z Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Ola S1Z uses a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorber. It rides on 12-inch wheels across both variants, and brakes include a drum at both ends. Ola Electric should’ve given a front disc at least on the top variant.

August 28, 2026: The Ola S1Z is a newly launched affordable electric scooter available with 3.1kWh and 5.1kWh battery options, offering a claimed range of 179km and 301km, respectively. More importantly, it now gets made-in-India LFP battery cells. It also gets features like cruise control, GPS, reverse mode, OTA updates and park assist.
June 2, 2025: Ola Electric has delayed the deliveries of the S1 Z, which is an affordable e-scooter. The deliveries of the S1 Z are expected to start once the brand sorts out the deliveries of all the variants related to the Roadster platform.
