Limited Stocks Of 400cc Triumph Speed 400 Still Available With Some Dealers

If you are looking for a new 400cc Speed 400, you still have a chance, but you might have to hurry

Quick Highlights:

  • Along with the new 350cc model of the Speed 400, the original 398cc model is also being sold

  • These are the already-produced unsold units

  • Available at the older ex-showroom price of Rs 2.39 lakh

The Triumph Speed 400 recently received a significant update in India, with the brand revising its 400 lineup by introducing a downsized 349cc engine. This move comes in response to the GST 2.0 reforms, helping keep pricing in check. While the new motor is engineered to deliver a similar riding experience in everyday city conditions, there’s a noticeable difference once you push the bike harder.

Interestingly, for those who prefer that extra performance, there’s still a window of opportunity. Limited units of the original 398cc Speed 400 are reportedly available across select dealerships in India. These remaining units are being sold at the original price of Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), making them an appealing option for buyers who don’t mind paying a bit more for the added cubic capacity. Although the price difference between the old and new Triumph models is not much.

Overall, in typical traffic scenarios, the updated version feels largely familiar. It remains smooth, easy to ride, and refined, qualities that made the Speed 400 popular in the first place. However, enthusiasts who have experienced the original 398cc version will immediately notice that the newer bike feels slightly more restrained. The earlier model had a bit more punch, offering stronger acceleration and a more engaging character that added excitement to every ride.

This difference, though not dramatic, is enough to matter for riders who value performance and a livelier throttle response. The new bike leans more towards refinement and efficiency, while the older 398cc version felt more spirited. That said, with the limited stocks, these units are likely to attract enthusiasts who want to experience the Triumph Speed 400 in its original, more exciting form before it completely disappears from showrooms.

Absolutely love the bike!

Looks and Performance. Checked out a few bikes like the Duke 250 and the V-Storm. But this was much more refined and the best-looking one in terms of class. Fell in love with this after the test drive and decided I have to get this one. Feels a bit expensive, but you will forget the price tag once you own it. It's been amazing, especially on the highways. It's like a rocket on the right roads. The bike handles well in the city. It gets a bit too hot for long rides, but overall no issues. Gives a mileage of 32-33 kmpl on highways and around 20-25kmpl in the city. Would absolutely recommend this bike. If you love riding regularly and want a bike that's good for daily commuting and for long rides, I highly recommend this bike. People who are generally 5 feet 8 inches and above would be more comfortable, although I have noticed people who are much shorter handle it quite well.Read More

It is the best.

I chose the Triumph Speed 400 for its perfect blend of timeless british styling, refined performance, premium build quality, everyday comfort and the pure joy it brings on every ride. Love it. Try it. The Speed 400 feels smooth, confident and fun on every ride. Whether it's city streets or open highways, it delivers comfort, performance. I smile every time I twist the throttle. You should go for long ride too. I would recommend this bike to everyone who is very keen to riding. Go for the extra aux lights, the present stock one is bit lower side, compare to the cars it is low. Bike is best for daily commute. Read More

Triumph speed 400 is game changer

Features an upright, neutral seating position with wide handlebars, making it a perfect fit for a variety of rider heights. It rarely causes wrist or lower back pain, even during long rides. Suspension is good. Speed 400 delivers a balanced, premium riding experience. It shines with punchy low-end torque for city planted highway stability. While it delivers 25- 30 and easy maintenance, the short gearing takes getting used to, and engine heat is noticeable in heavy traffic. It is incredibly easy to dense city traffic the comfortable reduce fatigue, making your daily ride with a light torque assist clutch, tractable midrange power and a very manageable kerb weight, it shines brilliantly as an everyday city bike.Read More
