The retro-styled modern classic will go head-to-head with the Royal Enfield Classic 350

Our long and eventful wait is finally nearing an end, as Honda is all set to finally launch the new India specific motorcycle tomorrow. We’re quite certain that this is going to be a 300-400cc modern classic designed to square up against the mighty Royal Enfield Classic 350, but what we’re not sure about yet is the upcoming bike’s name. Our best guess is that it will be called either the Honda Highness or Honda H’Ness, and the Japanese brand has trademarked both these names in India.
The new bike will, in all likelihood, be powered by a long-stroke, air-cooled motor and feature a classic round headlight. Design inspiration could come from the retro Honda CB 1100 EX. At the time of tomorrow’s launch, we expect an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 1.90 lakh which would equip it well to take on its RE rival.
