Honda Forza 350 Looming On The Horizon Once Again
Will it launch this time? Or is it just the usual case of Honda documenting its intellectual property?
In December 2022, Honda filed the design patent for the Forza 350, which was journalled in February 2023. But is that enough for the sporty maxi-scooter to finally get an India launch?
First of all, the act of patenting is hardly an indication of a launch. For instance, last year Honda filed a patent for the ADV350 sporty scooter as well as the U-Go electric scooter. But that was the last we heard about either of them.
Next, Honda itself has shown no sign of stepping into premium pastures, and has lately been more focused on an entry-level 100cc commuter. Besides, keen readers may remember that Honda had delivered the Forza 300 as a CBU in India in very small numbers back in 2019, and the company had plans of introducing the Forza 350 as well. That said, the premium scooter segment in India is quite niche, and Honda may not see the sense in bringing something for such a small audience.
As it stands, then, the chances of the Forza 350 coming to India are remote. So if you’re looking for a true ‘maxi-scooter’ experience, you could go for the Keeway Vieste 300. Or, if you have the budget for it, the BMW C 400 GT. All things considered, though, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is the best bet for those looking for a performance-oriented scooter at a relatively affordable price.
