The top-trims of both the Honda Activa 125 and TVS Jupiter 125 are loaded with features like full colour TFT consoles with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, among others. Let’s compare what each family-oriented 125cc scooter brings to the table:
TFT Console
The top H-Smart variant of the Honda Activa 125 steps up from the base trim with a 4.2-inch full colour TFT with Bluetooth connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync app. Through the display, riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and control music. It gets a joystick on the left side switchgear to control the functions on the cluster. There’s even a 3-level brightness setting.
The ‘SmartXonnect’ variant of the TVS Jupiter 125 also gets a colour TFT cluster, but it’s split in two parts. It has smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and music controls as well. It also adds voice assist, live news notifications, weather and sports scores via the TVS app. It even displays read-outs like distance to empty (DTE), and average or instant mileage.
Convenience Features
The Honda Activa 125 H-Smart features keyless ignition and smart key fob functions like SmartFind, SmartUnlock (unlocking handlebar, fuel lid, under-seat boot) and even an immobiliser (which prevents the engine from starting if the original key is not used). Both scooters get engine idle start-stop systems, and USB type-C charging ports on the apron.
Beyond the display, the TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect gets a follow-me headlamp which stays on for a set time after switching off, and a hazard light switch. This variant also gets a pillion backrest for added comfort. The TVS scooter has a Jupiter-sized 33-litre underseat storage as compared to the Activa’s 18 litres. While both also have external fuel filler caps, the Jupiter’s is more convenient by being on the apron. On the other hand, the Honda Activa’s fuel filler cap is placed just above the tail light.
Pricing & Verdict
The Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect is priced at Rs 86,400, whereas Activa H-Smart at Rs 91,983 (both prices ex-showroom) – which is Rs 5,583 more. Both are feature rich 125cc commuter scooters, but the TVS Jupiter 125 is the more practical of the two with its larger underseat storage and fuel filler cap location. The 2025 Honda Activa 125 stands out with its keyless functionality. It’s a neat feature to have, but not as useful as say – having a large underseat storage. More importantly, it’s hard to justify the premium for the geeky features.

Family-oriented scooter and comfortable for city rides with soft suspension and reliability of TVS. The Jupiter is itself a very big name in the scooter market for over a decade and provides the complete, balanced package. The scooter is smooth, and the space is more than enough, the only problem is that it doesn't give confidence during overtakes. Maine yeh bike iske stylish looks aur family-friendly comfort ke liye chuni hai. Yeh acha mileage deti hai aur highways par kaafi smooth chalti hai. City rides mein suspension thoda stiff lagta hai, par iski overall reliability isse perfect banati hai. Ride ab tak kamaal ki rahi hai. Iska comfort aur handling behad zabardast hai, jisse highway par tez speed mein chalana aasan ho jata hai. Mileage bhi kaafi acha hai. Bas bumpy city roads par suspension thoda stiff lagta hai.
