Having got the important launch of the Xtreme 160R out of the way recently, Hero has now finally launched the XPulse 200 BS6 at Rs 1,11,790. But if an off-road motorcycle isn’t quite your cup of tea, here are some similarly priced options that you can buy to ride on the road:

Suzuki Gixxer

If you’re going to be sticking to tarmac, then why not get something like a nice 150cc or 160cc streetfighter? One of the most popular options on the market is the neat-looking Suzuki Gixxer, priced at Rs 1,13,941. Since its update last year, it sports some smart neo-retro design language and is very well proportioned too. Despite meeting BS6 emission norms, its 155cc air-cooled motor churns out a healthy 13.6PS and 13.8Nm.

Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220

The weekend explorer within you will be kept plenty happy with a cruiser like the Bajaj Avenger. In this Cruise 220 avatar, it packs in the grunty 220cc twin-spark motor from the Pulsar 220, meaning output figures of 19.03PS and 17.55Nm. It’s also got very relaxed ergonomics and a long, low profile which makes it look like a shrunken Harley.

Honda XBlade

Another very stylish option in the 160cc range is the recently launched Honda XBlade BS6. It gets the same all-new air-cooled 159.7cc motor as the Unicorn BS6, but in a far more attractive and modern-looking package. Complete with the signature X-shaped tail lamp, the XBlade even packs in features like LED lighting and digital instrumentation. It can be all yours for Rs 1,10,968 for the top-of-the-line Dual Disc variant.

Revolt RV400

It’s 2020, so why not forget about emission norms altogether and buy yourself an electric motorcycle instead! The Revolt RV400 comes with 4G connectivity, AI capabilities and you can even make it produce four different engine sounds as you ride along. And yes, it can be made completely silent as well, don’t worry. The MRP subscription schemes are pretty attractive, but if you want to buy the RV400 up front, it’ll cost you Rs 1,03,000.
