The first-ever edition of the ‘Battle of the Kings’ in the country will witness 10 dealerships build custom motorcycles with a budget of Rs 5 lakh

Iconic cruiser manufacturer Harley-Davidson has announced that it is bringing the ‘Battle of the Kings’, its annual custom build off competition to India for the first time this year. The one of a kind competition is renowned for inspiring some of the most innovative, beautiful and memorable creations by Harley-Davidson’s worldwide dealership network. The first edition to be held in India will see 10 dealerships use either a Street 750 or a Street Rod as their canvas and create a unique motorcycle that reflects 115-year history of the brand. To make it even more challenging, they have to do this within a budget of Rs 5 lakh.

A total of 250 dealers from around the world will compete against each other for the crown. A panel of judges will then pick the finalists from each region who will get a chance to display their one-of-a-kind motorcycle at the 2018 EICMA, the largest motorcycle show held in Milan, Italy every year.

All submissions will be entered based on public votes initiated online from the 23 July and fans can vote for their favourite custom ride via h-d.com/battleofthekings. The winner of the build-off will be announced through a microsite.

Here’s the official statement from Harley-Davidson.
