Honda has announced post-GST prices for its range of bikes and scooters. For the uninitiated, GST (Goods and Service Tax) is a unified tax structure that aims to bring all existing taxes under one unified tax. Read our article to know more about how GST impacts prices of two wheelers.

All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Under the earlier tax structure, all two-wheelers were charged 30 per cent tax, which has now been reduced to 28 per cent for two-wheelers below 350cc. The result is a reduction in ex-showroom prices albeit marginally for most bikes sold below 350cc. For, Honda, the price drop ranges from Rs 326 (lowest) for the Activa 4G to Rs 724 (highest) for the Honda Hornet 160.
However, while ex-showroom prices for two-wheelers have dropped post-GST, we are yet to ascertain how much of a gain customers will actually make since the on-road prices of bikes may rise owing to an increase in tax rates of vehicle insurance and RTO prices.

my Honda Activa 5G for a long time, and it has been a very reliable scooter. The ride quality is smooth and comfortable, making it perfect for daily city commuting as well as longer rides. I took a test drive and it was super comfortable and was into my budget. It is affordable and the build quality is good and that is why I choose it and the colour options are also good. Mileage is great. It gives pretty smooth drive experience and I liked it, the breaks were smooth, neither too hard nor too soft. And I can drive it easily. Its weight is also easy to handle. I can comfortably lift the scooter on my own. Yes, I will surely recommend this bike and I have already recommended to my relatives. I have its blue colour which looks awesome. It is pretty good and I actually like it. The inside storage is also pretty decent to store so many things and the button nob for petrol is also good.
