The top-spec Ather 450 Apex is still cheaper than the newly launched Suzuki e-Access

Suzuki e-Access vs Ather 450 Apex: Which One Wins?

Suzuki recently launched the long-awaited e-Access in India, at a price of Rs 1,88,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This price range is on the higher side for what the e-scooter offers. And at the tag, it competes with the more loaded, top-spec, Ather 450 Apex. Here is how a detailed specifications comparison looks like, between these two e-scooters:

Suzuki e-Access vs Ather 450 Apex

When it comes to features, the Suzuki e-Access is left far behind, as the Ather 450 Apex is already one of the most feature-loaded e-scooters in the segment. In comparison, the e-Access only gets a 4.2-inch TFT console, basic connectivity features, and turn-by-turn navigation. Whereas the Ather 450 Apex gets safety features like switchable traction control, and theft alerts. The Ather also shows Google Maps based navigation, which is a lot more convenient than basic turn-by-turn.

    Price

    Rs 1,88,490

For the price, the Suzuki e-Access offers quite less than its rivals. The overall range is low, the features list is short and even the overall performance is just decent. For Rs 2,179 less, the Ather 450 Apex still offers a lot more value for money, with much better range, features, and it is easily one of the most performance oriented e-scooters in the country.

Even if you want something that is not as sharp, or sporty like the 450 Apex, then there are still a lot of e-scooters, which make a lot more sense than the e-Access. One can also consider the Ather Rizta for that matter.

E-Access - Accessibility over High Performance.
wanted an electric alternative. had an activa generation 2 before this. rented this from a friend in another state and have been riding it ever since. And since suzuki has their own platform for e-service, i was interested to ride it and check it out overall. about alright. suspension is on the stiffer side but overall smooth! the seat comfort and height is very friendly, as compared to other scooters in the market, anyone in the 5ft in range can easily ride this without any fear. I would recommend this bike only if you ride short distances. This is the kind of EV that offers average range as compared to the bigger brands that have been around for a decent bit, not to name any names. Overall, a 3.8 rating from my end is a good standard rating.

      Way Better Than I Expected!
Honestly, it was the Warp mode and the sheer acceleration. I wanted the quickest scooter on the road. The 'regenerative braking was very good in traffic areas. The transparent panels look sharp, too.. Overall its worth these performance is very impressive as it claims. Hitting 80-100 km/h is instant and effortless. On the highway, it holds its speed well, but you definitely have to stick to Eco/Ride mode to get a usable range. The Magic Twist feature is a game changer for stop-and-go traffic. Yes, I would recommend it, but only for the right person. Buy it if you love performance, want a premium, feature packed experience, and mostly use it for city or short distance highway travel. Don't buy it if range anxiety is a major concern, or if you are on a tight budget it's expensive and some features are behind a subscription.
